Cold Steel & M-tech two very good knife companies.

One of my favorite Blades and it is one tough piece of steel for $20 to $25 ,,,,now and I also like the Cold Steel Trailmaster and plan to get one of those in O1 tool steel.

It's way better than the overpriced brand named models. In the end it's functionality that counts. Excellent descriptive review Bullfrog.

MTech still holding thing down 💰🎱💰 Got one of those and it's a chopping monster 👹 plus it holds a good edge for a budget buy blade that's China made 💲

I just got mine after buying it on Amazon. It has a few bad reviews but I got mine and there's nothing wrong with it, I love it, it actually feels like the same coating used on the Ontario SP5 and SP10, it doesn't feel like a cheap knife and I seen this knife cut through a lot of stuff. It's a very solid knife. I think it would give Cold Steel Trail Master a run for its money because this is a tough knife and I'm very happy I bought it. I don't like folding knives much either, for the price of a Spyderco you could get yourself a real man's knife, a fixed blade, full tang knife, a decent one too. I don't care what anyone says, a folding knife WILL break, it's only a matter of when. Think about it, there is only one screw that holds the blade to the handle!! No thanks, but I'll stick to my full tang knives. When the shit hits the fan, a folding knife is the absolute last thing you would want to have on you, especially for self defense.

This thing has nothing on the real Trailmaster except the low cost. The Mtech is borderline junk compared to the CS Trailmaster. Yeah, your Mtech will chop and split wood. Big deal! Harbor Freight $5 hatchet will split wood all day also but it won't hold a sharp cutting edge. The 440 stainless on the Mtech won't hold an edge to actually cut things because it's too soft. One of the worst steels for cutlery.

I need a new larger sized bushcraft style knife. Will be shopping around, maybe check out some TOPS brand or Schrade on the lower cost end.. I am always interested in any custom knives you mentioned that your wife liked if you got some to show off.

The cold steel trailmaster is far superior to this but is far more expensive. Not the same knife by any means.
@moneystewart52575 жыл бұрын
@@philipmarcus97 The Cold Steel true Trailmaster is thicker & heavier with High Carbon Steel , The Mtech is a Stainless Steel 440 series and mostly 440a ,but generally comes good and sharp and holds up very good, truly no comparison to the Trailmaster by CS but still a knife worth owning as it is very functional and tougher than other knives that cost more money, plus for the price you can buy a spare to keep in the car as well as the home.
