This game vs mill reminded me of a abzan counters deck I built a while ago. It played a cheeky 1-of skeleton (forgot how it's called), and I could always put it on top of my library if I had 1/1s that tap to put a counter on themselves on the battlefield. Won me a few games vs mill.

In the mill matchup, we probably should have held a bookwurm activation instead of replaying the Quandrix Cultivator. We already had lethal on board and the only way we lose is if Oppo had multiple ways to mill at instant speed.

Love this deck. Very fun when it pops off. I get using Verdant Mastery because it's a new card, but it's mostly worse than a Migration Path or Vastwood Surge (which don't burn rare WCs). I can't see getting one-two extra lands in hand being worth an additional mana or giving your opponent ramp.

against rogues it just gets clinged to dust i think, but its still probably worth it if the deck can't run a good escape card. Quandrix Command can do this aswell, but it has to be in hand and not in the graveyard.

@evancalgary76843 жыл бұрын
Solem simulacrum would be good in this deck as well but nice job as always lvd
@TheDarkZoren3 жыл бұрын
I think Quandrix Cultivator is a better pick right now. yeah, simulacrum draws you a card on death but the cultivator can survive a lot of red's removal and provides better stats. It also adds to your blue devotion for Thassa while simulacrum provides none. Lastly the land come into play untapped which can prove the difference in some cases.

Hey LVD, I have an idea for a historic deck that is probably trash, but if there is someone that can make it work it's definitely you. Ok, hear me out: Storm Kiln Artist + Revel In Riches + something to make many copies of a spell (storm/Thousand Year Storm or the like) ideally at instant speed so that it can be fired off at the opponent's end step, bonus points if it's cheap removal to create even more treasures.

38:50 Could you not have switched the triggers there to still get 2 bounce on Kogla? (If prince targeted Kogla of course.)
@LegenVD3 жыл бұрын
Thassa requires you to target a creature when the trigger is placed on the stack, so there's no window where you can target Kogla in this hypothetical scenario.
@hsMaskman3 жыл бұрын
With the Indatha Triome giving access to black mana and Gyruda being able to just grab it anyway, is there any particular reason not to run one or two copies of Massacre Wurm? Seems like it would have been pretty strong against a few of the decks you ran up against.
