Just discovered the channel and this comment. This deck is very similar to my main deck, which is the only reason I know there was a more stylish way to do this, hence the "kind of lame" : Step 1 slap the gnawbone down. Step 2 attack to generate 12 treasure. Step 3 Use 3 treasures (they give 2 mana thanks to goldspan) to cast inferno. Step 4 use 4 treasures to pump inferno to 20 and kill the opponent.

My main deck and where I spent all my wildcards is a pretty similar deck. Because of heavy usage of sorcery/instant, I discovered that rocking a copy of Velomachus was a big boon as well. Hitting free seize the spoils or draconic interventions can be huge, and since you most likely will get your velomachus from tiamat being played, you can choose to only play him when both cards would benefit you.

i wish tiamat had more effects, like Trample, and grant other dragons haste, maybe for a mana cost like kenrith. but as it is, it feels so weak as a 5 color 7 mana play.

As it stands she's as good as the amount of haste dragons at her disposal. It would have been pretty cool if she had abilities like Kenrith. One for each head, costing the respective color

I don't know if I missed something, but around 19:00 when Tiamat was cast, the auto-pay sacrificed the treasure. With Galazeth Prismari on board shouldn't it be tapped instead for mana?

The main win con of any dimir control deck is "Patience" It may not seem fun but it is very versatile. One of the oldest playstyle in Magic.

21:15 Sadly, you wouldn't be able to cast Tiamat if Goldspan resolved, You'd have 3 treasures and one land so that does in fact make 7 mana, but Tiamat requires 1 uber mana which you wouldn't be able to get since Goldspan makes treasures make 2 manas of any one color

Galazeth only lets artifacts tap for mana to cast instants/sorceries. Can't use it for creatures

Not when you need to cast your sweeper on turn four. Seize also lets us play Goldspan a turn sooner. It’s mostly a curve consideration.
