Hey thanks for this list. New to magic and i ran a similar list at fnm. Did pretty good got 3rd place! I main deck a few copies of trashing brontodon. It did a lot of work v.s. vehicules and ixalans binding. Ppl didnt expect it!

I actually managed to get the pieces for most of this deck through trading (paper). I may have to end up buying the Ripjaw Raptors though, and they might actually end up a lot more expensive because it doesn't seem like anywhere has them for sale.

I am going to make this deck, and pimp it out in all foils. Then keep it updated as my standard deck as more rotations happen. Then when this block falls off, I will try to adapt it to modern and just keep it. I'm not a tournament player so it doesn't have to be a tier 1 deck for me to enjoy it. I just love the dino theme. Bringing it to modern will give it an awesome Mana base to work with. Love the deck Dev, and hello from South Carolina.

I don't even play Dinosaurs (PIRATES), but I love videos like this. I think Dinosaurs have the most interesting, and most efficient mana curve, on top of some of the most exciting creatures in the game, and I love watching the game plan come together: the mana ramping on the first few turns, and then the potential 5, 10, 15 damage on turns 4, 5, and 6. It's a beautiful system.

Hey Dev , what about jund dinos , with journey to eternity , fatal push , riles and reckless rages? while also playing a bit more on the top end like the white elder dino , gishath , zacama or any one of the higher cost ones , dumping stuff to grave via the 3 drop black pirate that explores for 1 black? you get access to things like chubacabra ,duress , push and other black goodness and if you were to get hit by a sweeper you'd have a way to bring back the elder dino's , and enchanting the cherished hatchlings w journey , as well as something that may be overlooked completely because of the high mana cost but silverclad ferocidon being reanimated , then reckless rage or rile on it so a potential draw AND they sack a permanent seems pretty good , trying to brew something with it !

You built almost the exact same deck I did, except I cut Migration and White. Allows me to play 1 ranging raptor in the main, 2 Burning Suns, 1 Etali (my fun card :) ), and 3 Charging Monstrousaurs. In addition to play sets of every Dino you have, and I’m only running 20 lands. Seems to work well, and I like the guaranteed aggro threat build more.

(BTW: 100,000 - 74,292 = 25,708. 100 subs a day on average (from Social Blade) so 25,708 / 100 = about 257 days. 257 + (Jan)21 = day 278 of this year which is Monday 15th October this year. I'd start prepping that back wall mid-year so you have a nice clean space to hang a frame! :) )

I actually would consider Authority of the Consuls for this deck. The lifegain and your opponent's creatures entering tapped keeps your life high vs fast aggro and buys you time and free damage vs a tapped board.

I run dinos. Enrage can be an interesting use many abilities arent great but they give versatility to so many cards. Plus my deck ramps with ranging raptors and Kinjalli caller to three of the primals and polyraptor. Forerunner of the empire is the best enrage trigger and can quadruple polyraptor every turn

Instead of swordtooth sideboard, maybe path of mettle. Regi alpha gives all your dinos haste so you can in theory flip it no problem

I don't quite understand how you could get Ghalta on turn 4. The way I'm doing it in my head is like, Drover/Huntmaster turn 2, Ripjaw turn 3, leaving Ghalta's casting cost 8GG and you with 5 usable mana. How do you do it?

Maybe consider a couple Wayward Swordtooth. I know it doesn't block without the blessing, but this is a ramp deck and it helps get Ghalta out faster.

I'm surprised to see the white splash for a 1-of Gishath and 2 Ixalan's Binding in the board, but given the answers R/G has for Scarab God (Magma Spray), it does seem like it could worth the extra inconsistency. I am curious how often in Game 1 you wish that Gishath was actually an Ixalan's Binding and how often Gishath comes out in sideboarding.

I don't understand why nobody seems to play the Ranging Raptors. It helps us to get a land, maybe 2 on turn 3 or 4 with a Savage stomp or Reckless rage and haste from the huntmaster ( if he's bloked ). If you play Communion with dinosaures you won't be out of lands till turn 3 or 4. If you play a créature on turn 2 and another on turn 3, you won't play the thunderherd migration till turn 4 or 5 because you want to keep the pressure on the board. So why is it not better to play that Ranging Raptors ?

This is a fun deck. I like having trove of temptation to help me get gishath out faster. Usually your guys are big enough to block something and your gaining monies tokens. Savage stomp to give my baby dinos a little more health and pop more guys in, or to have deathgorge attack after triggering his bte to trigger his effect again.

I like to play with a single copy of Sunbird's invocation. If in the late game, you have that on the field, and then play ghalta, you look at the top 12 cards of your deck and play anything including gishath or etali. TBh I'm playing midrange and not full ramp.

Dinosaur hunters effect (which is basically deathtouch but just for dinosaurs) does not "target" the dinosaurs it deals damage to so it goes around hexproof which protects permanents or players from targeted permanents or players

I for some reason really heard the Jurassic theme when Dev mentions Jurassic Park at the beginning of this video. Ghalta is Legit! If they had designed the keywords in this card as '' total power of dinosaurs you control'' then this card would've sucked. Fling and Insult/Injury are really fun also in the Dinosaur deck for standard, LOL even Angrath Marauders work great but I tend to go Gruul:P

Reckless Rage > Chandra's Defeat. Hits your enrage Dinos profitably in many cases. I'd also suggest Ranging Raptors @ 3 drop, works well with Savage Stomp (say if you have 4 mana on turn 3) and ramps as well. Forerunner, though expensive, might be worth considering. Green Monument might be fun too... as all your dinosaurs are green, no?

Rage doesn’t kill the most played planeswalker in standard. I’ll go with Defeat every time (it’s also nice that it doesn’t require you to have a creature out and you can cast it like two turns earlier than Rage without having to worry about losing a creature)

I'll wait to see statistics on Chandra post-bannings, but there's room for Rage in the main, no? Hits pretty much anything that matters, draws a card/etc. I'm also quite interested in testing 4x Savage Stomp - risking a 2-for-1 early to get a +1/+1 counter, removal, and Enrage trigger.... seems fair on turn 3 off of acceleration. But this might be magical christmasland.

David Cramer It pretty much always comes down as win more. She can't protect herself and her ability requires both a big creature that attacks and a beefy defender to keep her alive. There are few times in the game when you'd be happier to draw Samut than a beefy threat. Samut may have a place, like the Polyraptor combo, but she doesn't belong in a typical Dino deck.

I have to say though, double striking with ghalta is GG and then if you ult with samut you can grab ghalta and regisaur or if you have a regi/otepec out already you can grab ghalta and the other samut in the deck for that huge swing.

I just ran this deck without migration and with only 2x carnage tyrants and absolutely smoked it. 3-0 no problem. This deck is super powerful, and so damn simple to play. I did 4x ghalta though. No other crazy dinos though. savage stomp and abrade just got me there each game. I dropped down to 3 commune and 4x savage stomp... I went ahead and did 23 lands. I mean... the deck is just so consistent, its pretty much deal with my turn 2 ramp creature, or have some good counterspells or removal... orrrr suffer the pain. huntmaster is like what longtusk cub used to be for temur energy... its a test lol.

Chris Pratt :) Jokes aside, I think a single copy of Struggle/Survive would be an excellent silver bullet against control; it gives another way to use all the lands in play without tapping them all down as well as reloading your library once the library gets dangerously low in grindy matches. Oh and maybe a single copy of Samut, The Tested because nobody likes facing down huge Dinos that strike twice. Samut also fetches any of the Dinos once she ults. Imagine grabbing Regisaur and Ghalta at the same time 😂

Feel like zacama would work better with ghalta just because you can pretty much throw 4 ghalta out when zacama resolves plus feel like the green white human that you can sac to return a dino to you hand from greaveyard seems great and redundant especially with ghalta or tyrant.
