@35:40 exiling and transforming Nissa, Vastwood Seer will actually trigger Kodama of the East tree again which i think nobody caught. It also should be a Kodama Trigger for cmc 3 since the mana value of a transorming double faced cards backside is the mana value of its front side. I think these tiny rule interaction are kind of interesting :) Great game non the less

Commie Commander here, That niv-mizzet is just bonkers. I've built a couple izzet decks over the years that focus around the ping -> card engine, and I have never seen a commander cut so many corners as that version of nivvy does.

Just every thing that could be looped with mikaeus and a sac outlet for any effect you could want, every sac outlet i could fit, all the aristocrat effects i could afford, and both altars back when you could buy both in foil for around 50$ combined cost.

Very fun and interactive game. Something that I thought was interesting - I don't know if Jim was bluffing on the Beast Within at the end, but Kodama of the West Tree actually gave an opportunity to kill Nissa Ascended Animist before the overrun ability could be used. Somehow I don't think that gets Jim back into the game, but I've been burned by Kodama on planeswalkers before. Hopefully this helps someone in a future game!
