Awesome video! Hilariously, I almost always run exactly 37 lands counting mdfc's, so I guess I'm following your advice already. I use proxies, so I do use fetches and untapped duals, but another thing to consider when figuring out your mana base that you didn't actually go over is the density or pips in your deck. For instance, I have a four color deck thats 50% blue pips. That means I lean heavily blue in the mana base to make sure I always have what I need in that regaurd. Also, can confirm that the ZR mdfc's and channel lands are fantastic. I have a deck that can sometimes get Avacyn out, and playing ondu inversion while all your stuff is indestructible feels sssooooo good. Not alot of lands are also plague wind, lol.

Sylvan Scrying and Crop Rotation are 2 very underappreciated land fetchers that I like to use. As soon as you have lands that produce more than one mana, or do other powerful stuff, the downside of having it got to hand (sylvan) and having to sac a land to fetch (crop) is pretty much ignorable. And at worst Sylvan is just securing you a land drop. But I normaly always have something more exiting than just a basic or dual left in the deck for it to be worth it, even on later turns. As for general land count: 36 is my go to, sometimes one up or down, depending on avg mana value, draw/ramp sources and so on.

yup sounds like pretty solid advice. i like 38 lands myself for most of my edh decks

Spelunking is a great enchantment for nonbasic lands entering untapped

I always do 40 lands in my commander deck. Ivan divied up from what I needed to do.

Yup. My go to number is 37 if you are not running green. Then I go 34 for decks with green in them.

though i would lower it to 35 lands. And add more basics to decks, as a general rule if you fold to back to basics ruination, blood moon/blood sun reconsider your decks base

also the fact u use that visual on moxfield upsets me lol
