I really wish the Forgotten Realms "Roll twice instead" abilities would have applied to coin flips also. Instead they went the lame route and silo'd the ability to just AFR applications.

I ended up building this list after I found your video and ran it occasionally for about two years. Always flip the five coins! It was a blast! My last additions in 2023 were adding Witch's Clinic and Moraug, Fury of Akoum. I really enjoyed that the upper levels of the deck's bombs allowed for a lot of experimentation and flexing to try random creatures like Myojin of Infinite Rage.

I think that Teferi's Ageless Insight would be a great way to get the most value for each successful coin flip

It could be, although I feel with all of the other cards in the deck giving additional combat phases that you should have enough card advantage already. But if you still feel that you need more, this could be a good pick.

I would love this as a high risk high reward type deck with lots of gambling effects and coin flip support. I feel like I need to include a basilisk collar or any life link equipment just so I feel like I have a small safety net though.

I ended up running Basilisk Collar in mine just to mitigate the life loss, but also it really helped to move it to be a big threat that landed after combat to gain some of the life back from earlier flips. I never regretted it.

I’ve found time warp is good especially because opponents might think you’ll lose the coin flip and won’t interact with it and you’ll get the turn anyway.

I'm adding Ragavan to my deck. Ragavan already wants to attack a lot too, and on a turn 1 play, it can get Yusri out on turn 2 with the treasure.

I had considered that card but it didn't quite make it into the 99 because you create the copy after the attack trigger would go on the stack.

If you're playing Chance Encounter, you should be playing Frenetic Efreet.

I wouldn't run the efreet just for chance encounter. With all of the extra juice we are giving yusri, he should be able to get the job done. I would rather play another card that gives an extra turn than give a slot to the efreet.

Lifelink is my first priority. Then thumb. Then synergistic triggers (Izzet dragons, enchantments) and big closers (jaya's Immolating Inferno, omniscience). And protection (deflecting swat, cyclonic rift). But ALWAYS Lifelink first and foremost. But I suck at this game lol it's just always a blast win or lose, I dig it.

There's a bit of a problem with the Glacial Chasm inclusion - you cannot attack with it in play. :-)

But you can sacrifice it during your upkeep and then you can attack again.

Glacial chasm doesnt Work Well with yusri. You cant attack with yusri

You can play second main phase after attacks, That's a free prevent all damage till it's your turn again card that you can sacrifice next upkeep

I mean... at this point couldn't you just make him a Voltron Commander? He can either give you card advantage or hit you for damage. Giving him access to white could give him lifelink and cards like Give No Ground and Entangler to allow him to block any number of creatures. All you'd need is mana ramp, which you already discussed.

A Voltron strategy puts far too many eggs in one basket. All it takes is one removal to set you back significantly and make it extremely difficult to get back to where you were.

Fellwar Stone, Mindstone and thought vessel are completely wrong in yusri. They don't ramp out yusri at all. Mana crypt, sol ring, Mana vault, Mox Diamond, Opal, Chrome Mox, Lotus petal, simian spirit guide and rite of flame are WAAAAAY better
