I know I'm late to the punch. But if anyone is interested math goes sort of like this: When flipping one coin you have a 50% chance of winning it, this is a 0.5. When examening for consecutive wins you need to multiply the odds of the first by the next one. So for 5 wins it's 0.5 × 0.5 × 0.5 × 0.5 × 0.5 = 0.03215 or 3.215% With the thumb you have the same situation but now its the odds of getting atleast one win with 2 coins five time in a row. To get atleas one win out of two coins with the order not matering you have: lose lose, win lose, lose win or win win, so in 75% of them you get atleast one win this is 0.75. So then apply that to the formula for the consecutive odds and you have 0.75 × 0.75 × 0.75 × 0.75 × 0.75 = 0.2373046875 or 23.73046875%

i think sakashima would be a great add to the deck because it would allow to double the amount of coins flipped (Which i THINK when you flip all ten coins you only need 5 from both to trigger the effect, i may be wrong) even if its wrong, it still gives you another attack trigger for you.

Im currently running this deck and its a blast. This video definitely gave me some ideas for my own deck now. Best part of this deck is how different from the norm it is. People get emotionally invested in the coin flipping phase, lots of shouts of yays or nays :P

@@donko2987 in sorry I never digitized the deck and it not longer have it assembled. BUT I can offer some advice. Burn! Burn em all. Copy spells and double damage enchantments. Psychosis crawler can be a sleeper in here too every draw could be a point of damage or more. Make sure to include some big creatures too I went to instant/sorcery at first and couldnt defend myself

R we sure this is red blue and didnt miss out on being in quandrix? This commander is all about probabilities and well quandrix is a maths based college on strixhaven. And casting free spells isnt out of the realm for simic (although its more of a blue thing).

I have a krarkashima of a thousand thumbs deck and this addition is awesome. Add sakashima of a thousand faces to your deck ;) flip n draw and make tokens and deal damage and play spells n flip coins n draw n make tokens and cast spells deal damage and do it all twice. Or more with copy permanent spells.

If you give them lifelink, you still take the damage. idk how easy it will be to build in Red/Blue, but a deck focused around life gain/loss could be another fun route.

you didn't mention this but since the coin flipping happens when you are attacking you will also heal a tiny bit because almost every time a creature attacks it deals some damage to something so it is a tiny bit of life gain

How did you never win with that deck? Did you play more than a couple of games? You need fling, chandra's ignition and all the (budget) tutors for Krark's Thumb as well as a lot of stupid coin flip cards that basically do nothing except for trigger your commanders. That's a pretty strong deck, I'd say mine is at the very least a 5, more likely a 6-7 and is pretty stupid onxe it gets rolling.

Mirror march and dragon throne of tarkir is useful to have out when you play okaun. You can flip coins and make(non legendary) copies of okaun with haste from mirror march which get buffed because you won coin flips then give one of the haste token-okaun's dragon throne of tarkir.tap it and then it's gg.

I not know the timing if Yusri has lifelink and you only have 2 life then you lose a flip he does 2 damage to you, what happens you got 0 life before you gain the 2 life ?

0.75^5 gives you the probability as either heads or heads/tails out of four possibilities gives you 0.75 times itself 5 times. It may be appropriate to abbreviate the flipping at an impatient table by rolling a handy d4 with the thumb out and calling a failure at 1, unless of course you have something else out that cares about flips :)

Correct me if im wrong, but I don't think you need all of the flips to come from his ability. Once the ability triggers it just checks if you've won 5 flips. It doesn't care what triggered the flips. And since its all one piece of text, the damage only triggers for flips from his own ability. Any flips you lose outside his ability don't cause damage. I would definitely include the partners.

How does his "if you've won five flips" part work if you have multiple attack steps or clones of the commander (non-legendary, like Helm of the Host makes). Does this phrase only refer to each time attack trigger goes off so you have to win a full set of 5 at once? Or can you win 5 total in one turn and still trigger it? Or just five during the course of the game? I assume you have to win all five at once or else I think this gets broken.

Be aware that you lose the game if you lose a flip while you're below 3 life even if Yusri has lifelink.

How? Lifelink is a static ability not a triggered ability so it won't use the stack before SBA's are checked, once you gain the life then SBA's are checked and you'll be above 0 Life.

If it was enchanted with Spirit Link, which grants it a triggered ability, then yes you would be right. But a creature that has lifelink gives life the EXACT same time that the damage is dealt, no triggers there.
