I think we're going to see a lot of varied Eldrazi builds during the pro tour before someone figures out what the meta call is. I think Eldrazi will be the new mono B zombies where it puts up big results at first and then finds itself middling the tier one list

Dunno why no one is talking about it, but UR emerge is already playing 12 cards that turn Hollow One into a 1-drop (Cathartic Reunion and the Stitchwings), and it lets you cast Deep-Fiend for UU. Seems like an easy card to slot in. "Reanimate my Stitchwing, play a 4/4, get back Prized Amalgam..." sounds like a good turn 3.

Honestly, I like Myriarch in BGx Delerium as another one of to grab with Traverse. BGx already has a lot of keywords and this seems great coming down after Ishkanah for the large body or even after Mindwrack Demon for additional Flample. Jund delirium also can get you Woodland wanderer and/ or Glorybringer for more key words

made a cat deck using instrument of ferocitypride sovereign, adorned pouncer and larger than life. swung for twelve on turn three, it was awesome. go cats! yeah it was implement, adorned pouncer-put a counter, draw a card-larger than life. turn three pump the 2/2 pouncer with 4/4 trample attack power of 6-to twelve with double strike!

Because Pride Sovereign will affect how you build your deck and 'could' change the meta, abrade is a good burn spell, but you don't build around it.

I think the scarab god is an easy fit for a sultai delirium midrange deck. Bringing back a grim flayer which could be a 6/6, or getting a second etb from ishkanah would be nonsense and I think as a general strategy has decent early presence and adding the scarab god would just give it endless value late

Hey Seth do you think that hour of revelation might be best in a gods list? The Amonkeht gods add to the 10 nonlands but they break the symmetry of hour of revelation because you can keep them.

Is Bolas Playable in Temur Energy? Between Servant of the Conduit and Chandra he shouldn't be too difficult to ramp into and the Servant + Aether Hub + Attune with Aether makes the splash almost a non-issue. Haven't thought about it too hard but would this be something playable in a more controlling version?

How was solemnity not mentioned? it stops temur energy as well as b/g constrictor, which are both prevalent in the format. sure, zombies are still top tier, but it affects a lot of the meta and lopsides it towards zombies even more

Having tested some control decks, i feel like Bontu's Last Reckoning fits in better than Hour of Devastation (which has significant difficulties dealing with BG decks).

1llum1nate Killing your mana for a turn sounds really painful in control. I feel like control just sides in 4 Solemnity for BG counters/Energy matchups. I can't imagine control leaving blue white right now though.

It plays out better than it sounds, btw. Its a very powerful card, allowing you to trade 1 card for at least 2-3 creatures, and you really have a lot of options later on. If anything goes wrong, you can just reply with the second BLR. Also, if youre playing it at turn 4, youre leaving youself room for Essence Scatter/Negate. (this is the deck ive been using it in: tappedout.net/mtg-decks/ub-control-hou-standard/)

I dunno about Crested Sunmare. It seems worse than Dragonmaster Outcast, and that doesn't see much play outside control deck sideboards.

WesTheGiant I don't know. Sunmare triggers on your end step rather than your upkeep, so your opp doesn’t untap first, and its a 5/5 so magma spray doesn’t do it and harsh lightning needs to be more energy.

Ceiling is incredibly high. It can trigger on your opponents turn as well. If your opponent has no answer it can go over the best threats in the format other than Ulamog.

Could this thumbnail be any more glorious? A few mistakes I want to point out: You misspelled "Majestic" as "Majestiy" for the Myriarch. I think you combined Majesty and Majestic. Cycling was called a trigger. It is an activated ability. Scarab God has no static abilities. He/she/it has activated and triggered abilities only. Not big mistakes, but good list nonetheless. Agreed on Hour Of Devastation being extremely good.

your "really excited" for a set that has almost no cards that will see standard play, just like Amonkhet, who's most expensive card is 9 dollars because it made zero impact in standard beyond zombies, can you imagine that years ago? a set comes out and one decktype, a tribal deck, utilizes any cards in the entire set? EVEN WHEN BFZ and Shadows Rotates soon, we'll just lay with Ixalan and Kaladesh cards, Amonkhet/Hour of Devestation is threadbare beyond one offs.
