That's one more card you never want to draw. Nice meme though. If you have trouble winning with combat, you untick all the phase stops on magic online, and learn to discard your hand down to 7 really really fast at the end of the turn. Just don't forget to put stops back next game, I did that mistake once...

There's no such thing as 'struggling' to win after setting up the lock. Hit 6 and take off all stops, walk away from your PC.

@VictorTheLegend I was thinking about saying he's technically correct because of that, but there is no functional difference between 10 and 11 poison at the end of the game. I thought about a scenario where you're parking to go into a store and your spouse asks you if you have a quarter for a meter so you can park on the street right by the door and you say no because you had two quarters. In these scenarios, you do have 10 poison (a quarter), which is the important part, and you also have an additional one.

In the match against Yawgmoth, you should have brought in Leyline of Sanctity. Both Blood Artist and Geralf's Messenger target players, so you can shut off the combo that way.

It doesn't just shut off the combo, it forces them to target THEMSELVES. Blood Artist is not a "may", and it says that you MUST target a "player". And since they can't target you, they MUST target themselves to lose 1 life. With Yawg that actually means they lose 2 and gain 1, which will force them to sac the Blood Artist in order to not kill themselves.

Regarding Infect- Chalice seems really good, actually. On 1 it shuts down scale up, hierarchs, glistener elf, mutagenic growth- even if they have one or two pieces down it's going to take a lot longer for them to kill.

Yeah, you can put a +1/+1 counter on it if you want. Gideon is actually one of the few planeswalkers where it might be worth it since it can turn into a creature.

Yeah, Arena it just lacking the additional Gideons (no Gideon Jura and no Ally of Zendikar), although the Gideon of the Trials + Deification lock could still work.

Luxior makes Gideon not a Gideon planeswalker, though.

There are cards like Spark Rupture and Luxior, Giada's Gift that could turn Gideon into a creature with power and toughness equal to its loyalty, although the problem is it also makes the Gideon no longer a planeswalker, and the Gideon emblem specifically needs a "Gideon planeswalker" on the battlefield. So it would speed up the kill, but also turn off the lock.

This was cool to see seth but Seth can you do or ask crim to see if any of you make a constellation effect creature matters enchantment mill/ping/ cripple your opponent jank deck with some creatures that you can add to the deck with constellation like thassa's devourer, sage of mysteries, harvestguard alseids, skybind, protean thaumaturge, grim guardian, doom wake giant, dreadbringer lampads, and thought trender lamia as some examples and for skybind you can blink. Your opponents lands and they won't come back til their next end step and/or threats and/or save your own crap from being annihilated...

Instead of milling, when he had 2 Gideon of the Trials in hand, he could have attacked with GotT then cast another to uptick the Giver of Runes, repeat on the next turn with the second GotT in hand (so 8 damage done leaving opponent at 8) and then on the third turn just swing with the whole team for the win.
