I wasn't expecting this to be a PG 13 video tbh...
@ryandowns62332 жыл бұрын
I have a friend who plays Niv and we made little trigger reminder cards for him, one for the draw trigger and another for the damage trigger so we could track them and respond more appropriately. HIGHLY recommended!

These videos are quickly becoming some of my favorite content on KZbin. Thank you Tomer for all of the work you and the rest of the goldfish crew do, and for all you do for the commander community.

I mean, is it really a cEDH game if the stack isn't a mile high and there are missed triggers? Great game!

It honestly is really fun when everyone is on the same page/power level and its just pure pandemonium. Plus games usually end pretty quick so you can play more games!
@Sorababy2 жыл бұрын
cedh is so much better in my oppinion I don't know why it just the stigma around it makes it sounds unfun but it's just so much more fast passed and way more interactive

Preconception of CEDH: Everybody wins with Thoracle combos. After watching this video, everybody *does* win with Thoracle but getting there seemed pretty dang fun.
@WushuTaz2 жыл бұрын
That was a really interesting game! So much happening on the stack. Niv can be hard to keep track of with all those triggers. Would like to see Cam and Dylan on Commander Clash running with some casual decks.

As a non cEDH player, it would’ve been nice to have quick blurbs on the decks’ goals, like midrange or this/that combo at least. Still enjoyed the game!
@Dementia553722 жыл бұрын
It's CEDH, pretty much every deck is a blue combo deck

Birgi had 2, with your missed damage that does 3 and kills it? So seems like it “should” have died, which it did
@MTGGoldfishCommander2 жыл бұрын
IIRC Niv's draw trigger was on the stack, it needed to resolve with Niv on the battlefield to see the draw and then trigger the ping, but Niv was bounced before the draw trigger resolved.
@ChristopherZAR2 жыл бұрын
@@MTGGoldfishCommander Yeah probably should have kept pointing some more of the pings that way. Same goes for pointing some pings at the Seedborn Muse a while later. But hey, piloting cEDH Niv is hard! Good showing and good luck practicing!

Is it me or guys that have problems dealing with a lot of triggers/effects are precisely the ones that tend to choose to play izzet or other similar "stormy" decks. I have a couple of friends that play Izzet, a neither of them even remember they can cast instants during the opponent's turns, always playing instants at sorcery speed, misstapping lands, forgeting storm counters, forgeting the effects of their own cards etc. And stubborn as heck! They never try to improve or lear.
