I know Assasin's Creed was a bit of a meme set, but The Capitoline Triad is actually a pretty good colorless commander. It's an artifact shell with a bunch of looting, surveil and draw/sac artifacts. You only ever need to cast it once and, barring graveyard hate, every token maker in your deck will spew out 9/9s for the rest of the game. Back it up with manlands like Mishra's Factory, Mutavault, Inkmoth and Blinkmoth Nexus and it gets really hard to stop. Plus, it makes Threefold Thunderhulk a monster and who doesn't like Gnome armies.

@covfefe584227 күн бұрын
@ I hope so, and Crim has been all about the prison-type cards lately, so I am projecting my dream. Taii is the dopest Boros commander in forever. The sniper headshot thing feels like a very Boros take on the burn archetype (more about military precision than indiscriminate destruction due to the influence of white). Wakeen is unbounded card draw in the command zone for just two mana while also being a game-winning outlet for tons of mana. Her ability doesn’t require the creature to die, so you can really go ham with something like Pyrohemia + a way to make a 1 toughness creature indestructible.

Necrobloom combos with any of the colorless or black cycle lands and Bonemiser. You can then win with Takenuma by grabbing back Walking Ballista. It is actually scarily consistent, and one of my favorite cEDH decks. It even is able to run the original Gitrog Monster and his package! You can also use other utility lands over and over again, especially the channel ones. Also, it is one of the few cEDH decks where you want to run more basics, as keeping from getting 7 different lands lets you use a built in skullclamp package for card draw to keep the deck going.

My votes would be for Niko and Vren. Niko is sneaky busted, once you have 6 shards there are so many way to just kill the table on the spot including Skyhunter Strike Force, Hero of Bladehold, Angel of Destiny, Silverwing Squadron, and combo off with Timestream Navigator. Sit back control and flicker Niko and you win out of nowhere. Vren just plays all the removal and quickly amasses a board of massive rat tokens. It also subtlety hates on any death triggers, aristocrat, and blink decks, because by executing your gameplay you just feed the Vren machine.
@tomerabramovici32Ай бұрын
Vren is actually quite lethal yeah. Niko is scary but it requires a ton of setup, I've seen it get shut down too often.
@robbiestacks6386Ай бұрын
@ I’m not sure what Niko builds you’re playing against but I have 6 shards by turn 5 all the time, or turn 4 if I have a rock. With early bounce creatures like Soulherder or Phelia, token doubler like Naban, and a ton of cheap flicker spells it’s quite common to play Niko and have 4 shards that turn, untap with a counter spell and blink spell so I’m totally protected, and I’m presenting lethal attack turn 5 or 6. Sure this is an ideal opening, but it has plenty of redundancy and happens quite frequently. Also the counters and blink make it quite difficult for opponents to disrupt.

Commie Commander here, Fantastic list Tomer! I have a storm force of nature group hug deck and I don't mean group hugging the sense of like I'm actually trying to win or I just want to King make somebody no I made the deck specifically with single targeted spells that do things to help people but I have control over where they go so I get to make the decision or make the deal as to whether or not I want to give it to somebody. The deck itself could win a game from I suppose attacking but most of the spells are all focused around doing things like target player ramps there's not very many spells that do that but there are some there's also spells that I have that are like target player or any number of target players gain whatever life just a nice way to possibly keep somebody back in the game. I also have cards that are like I do this but the opponent gets to choose what happens or the opponent chooses something and then I pick one of their choices so I can politic based on what they do The entire deck is based around just existing whether I win or lose is irrelevant to me. One of the other spells that I love in there are the types that will be like target player looks at the top whatever cards of their library and put some back in any order or I can do it for me and an opponent chooses normally those would not be good cards but in this it makes exactly what I wanted to do If we need to solve a problem I'm basically the resource to bring parity back to the table. It's fun because it gives me a use for some of a jankiest instance and sorceries that the game has ever seen in a way that most people don't think to use it. In one of my first few games that I played with it I stormed off so hard that I ran my deck out of land That's how crazy it is it's ridiculous.

To the contrary, cranking down a deck's power level, making it a bit more clunky and fun is the vibe around here and we certainly would not be playing with someone with a turn 1 Koma or whatnot. Turns 15-20 with minimal interaction (Fogs are the tops, bsaically ) is the vibe. It would be nice if some form of Goldfish focused on casual, non-optimized play. I know Seth does and I'm grateful for that, with his Against th eOdds.
