@@Arcdemon44 got one, and its kinda scary to play against i think. You can get some scary loops pretty fast even without sneak attack, deathrender+sac outlet almost instawins for example. But its not that easy to pilot so i would recommend actually practicing it a bit

When Harry first did his shennanigans with Altar and Garna, I thought: "right, he obviously needs to die first." Interesting that the table didn't see it that way.

I hate to be that dude, but white's really not at all that bad with interaction. Sure, it's counterspell game is lacking (though no one expects Mana Tithe), which is expected for anything outside of Blue, but it's got plenty of protection pieces that are worth running. Your obvious ones like Teferi's Protection and the aforementioned Unbreakable Formation aside, there's so many white cards that give your board indestructible, protection, or EOT Flickers to keep your board safe. And that's not even touching on white's removal game, which is the best of the five colors (at least until WotC merges all colors into green). White's biggest downside is consistent card draw, which I think is the bigger issue than it's interaction game.

I ran mono-white Elesh Norn commander. I was "that guy" who popped off with urborg/kormus bell combo. But yeah, consistent card draw sucked until I replaced Norn with Mangara. Only problem is everybody tends to think you'll be running a heavy staxx deck or heavy removal, so white decks that want to jank tokens get treated all the same sadly.

Brudiclad can actually change the Myr token it creates despite Elesh Norn. Even if it has zero toughness, the state-based actions won't kick in until the ability finishes resolving.

That's because Harry went undisrupted and ignored throughout most of the game. The red flags should've been raised when he got Sidisi back after tutoring, as he was obviously tutoring wincons, not answers.

I love these Garna shenanigans. Too bad Rakdos is a color combination I was never really able to get into. My first attempt, with Grenzo, didn't go well. :( The closest is my new Jund deck, with Korvold.

A thing to note for brudiclad player, if there are other tokens out that are x/3s or bigger you can make the brudiclad token and have it copy the x/3. Since SBAs aren't checked mid resolution despite the myr being 0/-1 they don't die yet

The dragon is a 6/6 naturally, but gets +1/+1 thanks to the dance of the dead, so it's a 7/7 but a 5/5 thanks to Elesh Norn so it would kill Brudiclad

The lack of actual Threat Assessment at these games is very lackluster I have to admit, I mean Garna is always gonna be a graveyard deck, I would expect something like a Grafdiggers's Cage in this format at the very least also the lack of blue players this game was another reason Garna did some darn impressive stuff

Sneak Attack allowed him to put a creature onto the battlefield for R. He then sacrificed those creatures each to the Phyrexian Altar, which generated a red mana for every creature, meaning that he could basically put unlimited creatures into play for free. Once he played and sacrificed all his creatures, he used Garna's triggered ability to bring all those creatures back to his hand. With this combo out, he could play the creatures in his hand basically an infinite amount of times. What won him the game is the Gray Merchant of Asphodel, which drains the entire table whenever he enters the battlefield. I hope everything is clear. It's quite the sneaky combo, even for seasoned players.

@@MTGMuddstah as obvious as it is, i still prefer to be able to check the card without navigating away from the video. for example with elish norn, i wasn't sure if it was "other creatures" or "all creatures" so i couldn't remember if it affected itself. it's your video and the promo is cool, i'm just offering feedback.

In this case, Trevor spent a lot of time tracking down the promo, and we both found that it wasn't super clear that he was using the promo version in the footage. I wanted to highlight his hard work by showcasing the image.
