*Looks like I made a pretty hefty mistake with Ojer Taq. Thankfully some viewers have pointed it out and I'll know what to watch for moving forward!*

7:41 I think Coram’s controller can only play 1 spell from the cards put in the graveyard in each of his turns
@odditiescollector45403 ай бұрын
doesn't Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation only make triple creature tokens?

Shoot! You're right. I'm so used to the doublers just applying their effect to any token.

@@MTGMuddstahIn fairness, I made this mistake the first time I ran that card. Super easy mistake to make. Just means you have an excuse to run the deck more, though! :D

7:17 Max plays TBR off Micah, and then plays Ardenn in the same turn when Coram only lets you play One spell from among graveyards, even if they're from different players. Very curious how it would have ended up with playing Ojer Taq right! Good Game!

As an Azlask player I absolutely am in love with the way this commander runs. He is unassuming and always seems like a distant threat until suddenly everything goes off and nobody can stop you. Phenomenal commander and super fun to play.

11:28 if i remember right, when a player with monarch or initiative dies through non combat means, they get passed to the next player in turn order (or more specifically, one seat to the left), in this case ian, as opposed to the player that killed them.
@connorl02043 ай бұрын
I just looked it up. The only time it gets passed to the next player in turn order is if the active player is the one to have initiative and leave the game. Otherwise the active player gets the initiative, so that means there was no rules mistake here!

Was hyped for Coram and Obeka, but was a little sad that the mistake with Ojer Taq dominated the game a little bit too much.

Thank you for the coram gameplay! I’ve been wanting to learn how he plays and how to tweak my build

So, I have been considering between my copies of Sidisi or Mothman, Coram, and Necrobloom which BGx self-mill deck to finish building first. I've also been wanting to rebuild my old Meren. And rebuild my even older Roon deck as a Galadriel, Light of Valinor deck. I've got Kenrith sitting on the side with a bunch of ideas for how to build for him. And I have just been reminded that Azlask exists... I'm planning to build it as primarily BG with "gold"-mana generators to splash the other three colours. And If I really wanted to go for the meme, I could build it with a bunch of the "On your upkeep, mill..." cards in Black-Green like the Nyxweever seen here and Splinterfright, and then also run Obeka : P this is going to be an unholy abomination

Thank you for not playing the live audio, Max would've pissed me off with that shuffling during other peoples' turns.

Despite the small mistake with Ojer Taq, I have to say, your response to the Chandra’s Ignition was more spicy than the ignition itself. Awesome game.

I know that Azlask is much better with this build, but I think the deck you made was so creative and fun, with all the different experience counter cards.
@MTGMuddstah3 ай бұрын
It still has the experience cards. There just aren’t all that many ones that work well.

As big a bummer as þe handful of misread cards were, I'd be lying of I said I've never been a part of a pod where a card was misread and we spent a entire game in þe shadow of it. To err is human. Regardless, Azlask is looking great-- moving away from 5c kinda-goodstuff, and seeing a more distinct gameplan for a tribe using every resource available across colors, towards þat specific goal, is when a 5c commander is best to see, imo.

Did he use corams effect more than once each turn? Can someone explain cause I want to build him, as it says "each of your turns" does that mean combat phase you can do it, then second main do it? Or can you only use coram once per your whole turn?

How… did Max cast white spells? Coram doesn’t have the clause that lets you use any colored mana to cast them.

That game was really good. Your Azlask deck is so neat. I know it started out as a kind of silly deck, but it's so good. Those are the best decks. I've never made a Jund deck, but Coram would be fun.
