This set hit me like outlaws… I was not that interested, yet super happy for my friends. Then I saw cards/mechanics plus how they wove the theme into the design and outlaws became one of my favorite to open, play and collect. This set had me at (to me) “where the wild things are” vibe in Toby. Cheers

...I REALLY don't like screaming nemesis. It feels so bad to completely shut down a deck for the rest of the game with no chance of fixing it. An enchantment or creature you could remove, but an effect that says "you can't do x for the rest of the game," just feels like bad game design.

Screaming Nemesis is much easier to cast, but yes, on the battlefield Phyrexian Vindicator is almost strictly better (except for the stopping life gain thing).

I mean what's the reason for anything to be in Magic? It exists on that plane? Also, my understanding is that things like the TVs look like real TVs, but serve completely different functions in universe. They said the "static" look on cards was how magical energy looks when it seeps into Duskmourn, so I'm guessing the TVs are kinda like portals and they use the look of TVs to evoke a style.

What a curious thing to say considering out of the last 13 sets, 4 were black heavy, hardly favored. But the Phyrexia arc is done so now there is nothing holding WotC or Hasbro back from making anything in other colors now. Black will gradually fade out again since it's a "problematic" color. lol You'll be fine, collector.
