I FINALLY got this locomotive! I had been on several losing bidding wars until I finally won at a comfortable price.

Wow.... this thing is massive... just picture this at home running at home on the floor with 10 Blue Comet Passenger cars with PS4 sound and smoke...... wow just wow....

The sound mixing is horrible. You can't hear the narration over the engine. Although that's kinda realistic.

I bought an MTH Blue Comet set for my son about 14yrs ago. Had proto sound, and accessories to download more. Remote control operation. Beautiful set. I set it up and he and I ran it that Christmas. Cleaned and oiled everything, boxed it up. Got it out the next season and....nothing! Lights up and makes a shitty static sound. No movement. Hell, I paid about $300 for it then and used it once. Hobby shop closed up. What to do?

My advice, call MTH. They service what they sell. I've sent stuff in and I thought the prices were fair

I had the same problem with the same train. This is premier though. Now the old rail kings are worth more.

It’s an absolutely stunning model of probably my favorite steam locomotive. Just too expensive for me. :,(
