People saying the $100 saw won't last.. obviously it won't outshine a husky in the longevity compartment but mate it's $100.. Ive had mine for 3 years and made back my money on the first job with it.

If the Chinese put 10-15% more into quality and added that to the price ,Stihl and Husk would be out of business in one year.

A great display of both saws. That’s a $900 savings and at that price you could change them out for another every two to three years and have heaps of spares lol 😂

no one knows layman's terms anymore gotta make it" existential affirmation of the ascendancy of oxidative phosphorylation over photophosphorylation in the presence of crosscut vectors" so technical you need an encyclopaedia to make a long sentence that is a mile into 5-6cm. Sorry Tony Lyons, Its not rocket Science.

Janet Hall-Frith I was wondering when he would find out. Haha You should start your own channel on sustainable living and gardening, Janet!

Hi Alex. It didn't take him too long considering he's not a tech head. I have uploaded a couple of videos taken with my iPhone to my own channel, but haven't taken it any further as yet. But I will think about it. The iPhone is the only tool I have for that. Thanks Alex.

One chainsaw cost $100 the other $1000, the video demonstrates that the cheap Chinese import chainsaws (in this case the MTM brand) are a very capable unit comparable to the more popular brand.

Yeah but for how long, one saws a good 20yrs old and the other chinese version is probably a year or so old and the problem with the chinese stuff is it can be hit and miss reliability wise, great whilst it works but ya never know whether it will work or not next time you take it out. For me I'd rather buy something better quality like the Husky, that way you know what you are getting quality wise, serviceability wise etc. Not saying the Chinese stuff isn't useable, I just prefer to own something I can trust and rely on and not worry about when something may fail on it sooner or later.

The husky killed it. Mtm struggled.

The Husky was 4% faster @ 10x the price. Thanks for watching.

Haha 4% 10 times the price do the maths after 10yrs of service ???. Or in the case of my $1039 Jonsered2065 20yrs later never failed in service cutting domestic firewood for me still on original rings still running strong . Do the maths on that one ??? Is this MTM still running 26/4/20?

@@fairlyquiet I've owned a mtm for 3 years still going strong also have an mtm pole saw for 2 years and never had a problem with it

@@fairlyquietservice on these saws are pocket change. Oil pumps $4, complete rebuild kits including bearings, seals, gaskets, piston and cylinder are under $30.. complete starter assemblies are $10. Though I haven't had to replace or repair anything on mine mine after 4 years of use.. just a piston for your saw would cost more than a complete MTM saw.
