Here’s this fight in a nutshell. 1) Follow the path in video for tethers 2)Tank Swap for every Righteous Bolt 3)Remember where the blue AoE markers are because they come back 4)Tanks hold Venery Adds and everyone else burns the Shame. 5)Don’t pop the giant bubbles with other mechanics Overall a pretty easy fight tbh. Just a lot of paying attention to the floor. My own group had 6 people completely blind (myself included) last night and it only took us like 5-6 attempts to meet Enrage.

One slight mistake, the Winged Reprobation 'tethers' don't leave aoe lines going North, East and West. The AoE coming from the sword will continue through and the 2 on the side are perpendicular to this line.

Agreed. Basically, the resulting aoes form a plus sign that follow no direction except for the one set by the tether.

innocence is way easier. for starters, the dps check is more lenient and there are no mechanics that require everyone alive at once. it took me 2 days to get a titania clear and i got my innex clear on my first practice PF.

For the rotating blades mechanic, if you stand right behind the blade AOE when it appears, you won't have to move. Stand in the "crook" of the blade AOE and you shouldn't have to worry about it hitting you, The blades will never rotate to the point where they hit you and you can continue to DPS as a caster or continue healing.

Something you forgot to say in the guide is that if you don't apply shields at the latest when the last add dies, but you apply them after they die then is to late and is not going to matter for the innocence's ultimate ability, the game will not take the shields in consideration when it hits.

Bless. I'm learning mechanics backwards basically. I joined a PF in game I thought was Titania Ex but ended up realizing it was Innocence Ex...which I hadn't practiced at all. I told them and they were like 'Welp, guess you're doing this one.' But hilariously we cleared on the first try. Just tried to mirror a tether mechanic I saw, otherwise stay away from things. Fairly straightforward for DPS anyway.

That little gap in the rotating blades is a safe spot, you can easily identify it by looking at the ground. There's a golden ring on the floor. In this video the one where the markers are placed on. Just stand on it and you're safe for the whole mechanic. It's literally your favourite spot as a caster.

I've seen an alternate way of handling the first Winged+Rightful combo is to have the people targeted by Winged run straight through him and drop their tethers in the area that'll get blasted when Rightful comes back

As someone who's super new to FFXIV, is it a hard rule that parties for these sorts of battles are always 2 tanks, 2 support/healer and 4 damage? I've seen a couple of these guides and they always presume the party makeup.

Pretty much, the duty finder that you go through to get into raids/trials/dungeons has a requirement of 2 tanks, 2 healers and 4 dps. You can get past it with minimum party requirement but not all content allows that and some fights, especially the current tier of fights, has mechanics that would be impossible if you didn't have 2 tanks or 2 healers or the 4 dps.

it's a fight from 2 years ago intended for people with 440 ilevel gear. If you want to experience what it was really like you can set it to echo off/min ilevel and try it again. You will likely have a very different experience.

@@Quixoticjester I did do it synced, it's still easy as fuck. There's literally no coordination required at all besides tanks having to swap every so often. Even compared to the ARR extreme content this is easy. The ENTIRE fight is just "avoid AOEs" and "dont hit anyone with the tether".
