question for you do you by chance know how they give points out? id like to know where they come from. also are the fastest losers times from qualifying or the losing race thanks
@MisterGravelrama Жыл бұрын
@@suleimancarvajal7657 These are good questions. First, there have been a few theories out there for how points were divvied out based on the event, but there has never been a consistent result that has proven to match up with the standings listed on the tv episodes. This is why I created the hypothetical points system. If you are referencing the points I posted, I am happy to share how it works with you. It is objective and easily trackable. Second, the trucks/drivers who earned fast loser births into the next round in this series were based on their times run in the previous round and not from qualifying. Thanks for your interest!
@suleimancarvajal7657 Жыл бұрын
@@MisterGravelramaoh that's awesome and yeah id like to see how they are divided up this way also. The points never have been explained in the show it just was like here they are how do they get them idk trust us lol.
@MisterGravelrama Жыл бұрын
@@suleimancarvajal7657 After multiple attempts and iterations, basic was determined to be best. Round Racing = +1, Wins = +2, Event Champion = +3. This correlated to the same mentality of wanting to line up to race even when not at full strength, earning fast qualifier and therefore a bye run/win, and ultimately being the king of the monster trucks in a night's show for the crowd as the only way to get a bonus. 80's values that are simple, objective, and easily trackable. Had they adopted this system in reality, it would have made for a much more entertaining and dramatic season. Follow in real time and keep up and the evidence is there. Or lean on the standings they post which are not trackable and incredibly inconsistent. Hence, the hypothetical points series. Enjoy!

Andy Brass clearly was a better driver than John Piant in Bigfoot, why they didn't just let him drive Bigfoot 4 until Bigfoot 8 was cleared to return is beyond me
@Arctic_Falcon5 жыл бұрын
True. But to be fair to John, he was very new at the time. I think the reason he ran some TNT events was because they probably didn't trust a rookie with BF8, and BF8 had to replace the non-TNT events that BF4 was pulled from.
@Skip19895 жыл бұрын
My question, why was Bigfoot 8 banned from competition?
@EPstroker5 жыл бұрын
@@Skip1989 because at the time it was in a league of its own. They banned it to give everyone else time to upgrade their equipment and catch up. Bf8 was a tube frame, with 20" travel 4 link suspension. Everyone else ran the straight rail frame leaf spring suspension with just a few inches of travel. When bf 8 came out it was a game changer, everything had to change in monster trucks. Bf8 is the reason you see what we have today in the monster truck sport.

Man I swear we need different classes of monster trucks they already have stages so why don't they start putting on stage 1 stage 2 and stage 3 shows 🤔
@nathanmcdonald6102 жыл бұрын
They kind of have stage 1 shows now that a lot of those old trucks have stared being restored they'll pop up every now and then at events to do a car crush which is pretty cool. I doubt we'll ever see a ''Stage 2 league'' though. As awesome as I think that would be a huge part of why Monster trucks evolved the way they did is because these stage 2's were so rough on the drivers ''as they talk about at 40:33'' that they were literally tearing muscles, bruising kidneys and tearing tendons in these high speed races, the extra suspension travel in the stage 3 trucks mostly mitigates these issues, so it comes down to safety issue.
