I went through quite the melodrama from this change. It ended up being all my fault for accidentally typing an extra character in my bank account number! The first payment failed, so I called up the bank and asked if it was due to using the first name that I use in real life instead of my 'legal strawman.' The woman assured me no, the bank only notices the last name. I emailed Mturk and assured them my details were correct. An employee thanked me and said the second payment had finalised. BUT she was lying- it had barely initialised and failed a few days later. I was disappointed. I figured I'd have to change my Mturk name to my full legal name. Sigh. I did NOT want my dashboard greeting me by that name every day. PayPal tried to force that change on me last year and I refused, which means I can no longer pay for items with my PayPal balance. All PayPal transactions come out of a debit card instead. When the third Mturk payment failed and an ever-growing balance was bouncing in and out of my dashboard, I finally re-entered my bank details and saw the error. Oops!

This sucks. They were already slower than Christmas. Now I hope the Senate gets them when they get google and facebook.
