Stranger things isn't based on the comics, it was written before 2015 and the filming started in 2015. The show came out in 2016.

@@Treacho debatable since the show only started. there shouldn't be a comparison. ST is 80's nostalgia bait. PG is just a well written story. This is like Expanse and GoT all over again where people kept describing the former as "GoT in space" when it was more than that. GoT may have been more popular, but Expanse was the better story.

I have a feeling people are gonna miss out on this show thinking its just 'amazon prime's stranger things' but its not it really isnt. Its very different. People are drawing comparisons coz its based in 80s and has sci fi themes but its not stranger things. The comics came out before stranger things. I would just recommend checking this show out its so beautiful. the sci fi part is rly good and so is the emotional philosophical part. Y'all will not regret watching this trust me

The characters have far more depth and all 4 put together solid acting. Stranger Things is incredible, but was weak in those areas. The elder cast of ST made up for it.

I almost passed on it just because of the name and thumbnail. I thought it was another teen movie, not that I don't like them.... Then I checked out the trailer and when it turned out to be about time travel I was in.

This first season was so great and the chemistry among the young girls is unmistakable. Glad to see they have a friendship outside the camera! Wish them all the best and a hopeful greenlight for more seasons

The cgi was horrible, robot spiders, dinosaur, and the pink light at the end looked like a SyFY channel production.

Female frienship is really important and it is very unique. Given how it is depicted in popculture and how it actually is in real life. These girls are amazing! Stranger Things is it's own show but In a realistic perspective I'd pick this show over ST.

This show is nothing like Stranger Things. It is much deeper and also realistic and relevant than Stranger Things. Colored girls are involved and touch based on their cultures and including the Jewish character, and the white girls came from opposite backgrounds (One from poverty and the other from a rich background), and just the challenges that developing teenage girls go through. I was hooked since they all reminded me of my teenage years.

Loved this series, can’t wait for SEASON 2! It’s not the same as ST, the only similarity is that they’re both set in the ‘80s, and PG is a time travel movie, ST is not. I love both!

The sequence is pretty obvious. Back to The Future copycat. 1st season : present time 1988 and then timetravel to the future 2019. 2nd season : future time 2019 and then timetravel to the past 1950s. I can see the pattern here.🤣🤣 3rd season : past time 1950s and then timetravel far way back to the past (the old west cowboy 1800s) 😅😅
