We actually socialized with others, we went to parties, we rode bikes and scooters, we had sleepovers, we played games, we joked, we laughed, we read books and comics, before Netflix and Chill we had BLOCKBUSTER, we had MTV. As I understand it, Fred himself said he never really got to know Britney until they worked in the studio together after she & Justin broke up, and that's when he fell head over heels in love with her, posting about how wonderful she was on his official websites and getting into arguments with his own fans who got upset and trashed Britney, etc. So if they met before that, it was definitely a "hi & bye" situation considering how obsessed he became with her later.

Say My Name peaked at number one (3 weeks) in march of 2000 and Jumpin jumpin (3) spend even more weeks in the top 10, Independant Woman spend 7 consecutive weeks at number one in november/december of 2000 and 4 more weeks in january of 2001. It's still the longest running number one single by a girl group EVER and The Writtings which came out in the summer of 99 was top 10 best selling album of 2000 and was certified 8× platinum in april of 2001 (less than 2 years) after Bills bills bills spend 4 weeks at number one in the spring of 1999. Beyoncé was the front woman of the group and seen as the next big rnb/pop superstar of her generation and she's still HUGE in 2023
