+Fight Vision.... Yh I use to weigh 80 kg (I was really fat) now I weigh 65 kg, after long hard work training. Most people train for sport as you said, just punch or kick hard. I practice Muay Thai for passion. Once again, thankyou for this video friend. From India :)

Wrong. Muay Boran was developed in the Nineties from some Muay Thai techniques that were declared illegal in the ring and some badly assembled show fighting techniques. Muay Boran has never been used in warfare. This is just marketing for foreigners.

In the past, muay thai boran was created for fighting(killing) enemy in the real war. The real muay thai is very dangerous and can not apply for fighting on stage with the complete weapons or technics so in these day, we just see some part of muay thai in sport (just to get point from referee). Tony jaa use muay in khmer style (bhokator) that quite similar to thai style. In the past (in King Rama6 period) there were two boxers on stage, one use muay khmer stlye and one use muay thai "Taa Sao" (one of muay thai styles)...Finally one of them dead on stage, after that the rule of muay thai changed for boxer safty. .....The body weapons that use in muaythai boran we call "NAWA AWOOT" (NAWA means nine (9), AWOOT means weapon, so NAWA AWOOT = 9 WEAPONS) 2 legs 2 knees 2 fists (2 hands) 2 elbows 1 head(brain,intellect) ???? (ha ha ha certainly and most important weapon because no head(without self control) no life (die on warfield) and lots of weak points eyes, nose, mouth, chin.

There is no real muay thai or sport muay thai, it's just muay thai. If you think people who do muay thai for sport can't defend themself when it's life or death situation, you are completely wrong. Just pick a fight with one of them and you will find out.

What we are seeing here is just a show. In real, a practitioner needs to spend several years for basic steps like Yang--Sam-Khum (Classic Steps of Defending Action) which requires very strictly correct and appropriate stances (directions of each movement and degrees of direction is of importance) being repeatedly practiced until they become automatically certain in every movement of the practitioner. That is the main reason why we can hardly see these showing techniques in any real fight where the users do not have expertise of basic steps before learning high techniques.

Shiv , Any fatal techniques as shown are like those of KungFu and Karate which are hardly used when being in a fight. But if you just follow the person mastering the basic Muay Boran in the VDO clip below, you will see step by step of practicing Muay Thai for real fights. kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3O7dJ96jtCsjtk It takes years to complete basic steps before thinking of any fatal technique. The fatal techniques can be achieved but not that easy as one suppose it to be for his fight.

Not allowed. Boran Muay Thai (ancient muay thai) was meant to be for war. Muay thai is just for sport/self defence
