Incredible how focused this coach is. And his speed and conditioning are crazy - he is talking like a machine while dishing out the good shit!

I am not really in MT but i am interested for bec i want to do my empty hand skills better, and in MT i find all these moves and ideas i dont learn in other MA, like how to defend and counter low kicks, learn about the real physics of kicks etc. Thanks for upload and its allways seen why youre a World Champion.

I see he talks alot about scoring, in muay thai some technics have greater scores? Is not just about doing more damage and having more volume than your oponent like boxing, kickboxing and mma? Awesome video as always, this channel is gold
@ace_x176 жыл бұрын
in muay thai its all about scoring. whether you think you're dominating your opponent, they could be beating you on points because they are scoring more points. kicks, knees, and elbows score more than punches in thai boxing, especially in thailand🇹🇭
@marsoc03266 жыл бұрын
To add what the guy just said if i land a kick to the body and my opponent lands a kick to the body they can be scored different if one person landed his kick to the open side of the body and the other person landed to the closed side of the body.The open side kick scores higher.Balance is also huge if your technique had a massive impact on their balance it scores higher and if your technique lands but takes you off balance it doesnt acore as high as it would.

If you slow it down at 1:38 his basically doing a small hop. His other foot never touch's the ground before his rear leg hits the target. My question is, where does the power to that come from is it force of the weight being flung or is it the body's natural mechanics swinging downward?

Loaded with bankable info. I learned tips here that 6 months of training in Thailand didn't reveal. Watch this one with a pen and paper because there's a lot to learn. One critique: I would slow everything down, the explanations are great but uttered far too rapidly.

great techniques but how with gloves on would i catch and control his leg off the kick like that? you aren't wearing gloves so you have all your fingers to grip with
@jamesr55983 жыл бұрын
He fights in One where Muay Thai matches use 4oz MMA gloves, but these catches can and have been done in Muay Thai fights with boxing gloves many times.

is it me or is anybody else noticing he has NO hip rotation in his low kicks? i have trained with more Thai fighters than i have years on this Earth and every 1 talks about hip rotation lol this is the Modern day "safe" style kicking it seems to be
@jamesr55983 жыл бұрын
He mostly turns it In but at the last second sometimes and he steps fully first so doesn't need to pivot much.. he kicks up to hit behind the knee with speed also, it's less safe though imo most the time your safer hitting with a flat shin.
