Hi Phil a common place for the water to get in the back end is the boots on the gear sticks 🤔👍👌

Agreed, you can see at 3:55 a gap in the shifter boot. I had a similar issue with mine. Thanks for the video!

Zip tie the rubber boot seals on the Gear Levers - always one area water gets in. I'm sure if you look elsewhere you will find other sources of for the water, but that is an easy one to fix.

Around the draught spring is a source of water ingress, it's often overlooked as it's not as quick or easy as the boots on the gear lever, and of course condensation

Should there be a gasket on the PTO lever?
@Dave-jm5yo Жыл бұрын
Great job. Note you removed the pto lever. An armature is part of an electric motor or alternator.
@adrian_dickinson Жыл бұрын
No new gasket fitted to pto lever cover, bottom three bolts usually need a bit of ptfe tape on them as they usually are submersed in oil. you could put a pre filter on your return line to catch any crap from a aux driven machine, easier changing a external one. watch you vid back when you play with gear lever its like a cock in sock around the lever. Cant Waite for 1200 rebuild, Lokey enough to drive once, the all-round view from the cab is great. Keep churning the vids out & happy new to the Stewarts

There's a bung plug on the bottom of the gearbox you should have also opened to drain. At least a gallon and a half in it before it heads out to the pump end. Water is usually getting in at the crossshaft as there's o rings there that's probably gone hard

Good luck my master. The hydraulic arms of our Massey Ferguson 135 tractor vibrate excessively when raising and lowering, I wonder what could be the reason. Could it be because the filter you changed is clogged? Thanks good night . Greetings from Türkiye.

@MyPromixdirt Жыл бұрын
Hi, water gets in thru the GEAR SHIFTER BOOT, looking at it you might say how no cuts or rips, pull it up the shifter if not attached to the tranny housing like a rubber grommet making a seal, water will roll down the boot under it and seep in the tranny. And to flush the rest of the oil out use compressed air in the filler hole, wrap a few rags round to make a seal and blowjob it, the diesel works to wash but to get it out use the air blower. good luck

Lidl have battery powered pumps from time to time. They’re shite generally speaking but they’re the full finest for the likes of getting the last of the creamy oil out of the box or draining a tank with a stuck bung. Even handy transfer diesel from one tractor to another if ya were stuck.
