MUD CRABBING in CROCodile country Australia / Perfect boating weather

The weather was so good we got paranoid! Why when there is a glass off in the sound were there no other boats out? Turned out to be GREAT Mud Crabbing weather as well! We bagged out straight away, which was lucky really because the local Crocodiles were hanging around wanting our crab bait.
Please everyone be very careful when in crocodile country. As our channel grows, we have had several new people to the area contact us asking for advice. Best advice I can give: Safety FIRST!!!
YES, the crocodiles ARE attracted to your pots for the crab bait AND the crabs! Crocodiles eat Mud Crabs!
We have pulled up pots in the past with crocs hanging onto them, one wrong move and YOU are in the water with them!
Also be VERY CAREFUL when handling the Mud Crabs!! They hurt!
We boil our crabs for 10mins & eat them plain when cold, nothing fancy, they are lovely just like that :)

I can't get over how Johnno is in the water at the boat ramp...those waters are croc infested. Anyhow, I hope you enjoyed the mudcrabs.

You don't often get crocs at the ramp there is to much noise and stuff going on, but always on the lookout.
