Good to see the crabs are still plentiful in the creeks. Yabbies are one of the best baits as you definately got a mixed bag of fish. Thanks for another great watch mate.

@returnoutdoors2210 Жыл бұрын
I really enjoyed catching a few fish while waiting for the crabs to go in the pots. The legal size for the fish varies depending on the state or territory you are fishing . The rules are subject to change so it is important to check size and bag limits before keeping a fish. Thanks for your comment!👍

Excellent video, as is now expected! I hadn't realised how small your tinny is. The camera perspective from in the boat shots makes it look much bigger than it really is. Seeing it in the background while you were pumping yabbies, really showed the size. It's only about 4 pots long. Surly that is not the same boat you go to the Island in?Love the old double hook up, luck they weren't runaways. I think Jack is my favourite eating fish. They all looked nice healthy fish. Then topped off with those pots. I thaught I was watching 'Deadliest Catch'. See you next week.
@returnoutdoors2210 Жыл бұрын
The boat is certainly on the small size. If the weather isn’t perfect I won’t risk venturing out around the island. It was great afternoon for fishing despite extremely windy conditions. Thanks for your comment!👍

Why do they call the mangrove snappers jacks?
@returnoutdoors2210 Жыл бұрын
It is simply another name for this fish. However there is a rumour kicking around a few remote pubs in Northern Australia of a bloke called Jack who lived on the banks of river in this region who had a set of fierce teeth resembling those of a Mangrove Snapper /Jack. Never met the bloke myself but those who have swear this is where the name Mangrove Jack evolved from.😃😉 Thanks for your question!👍
