I had my stag weekend in Blackpool in 1983 and the club we went in had Mud on. Les was in great form. It was way before his illness and he sang all their hits. None of the other original lads were still in the band though, but it was a great night, from my hazy memory.

This is supposed to be the story behind the song, but what it didn't tell you was that Dynamite was written for Sweet but they didn't want it. It's not a typical Mud song, but you can easily imagine Sweet playing it.

At this stage when filmed les was a shadow of himself and the band wasn't up to much BUT I saw him in a small club near Lyme Regis about 1983 and he pulled the roof down.the crowed went wild.thats the measure of the man

Me and my ex missus saw Mud at The Cock Hotel in Ripley, Derbyshire just before they made the Big Time. A week or so later, we saw them on TOTP on the tele.

It's FREE, it also doesn't hurt them. Even looking angry at me for giving them a smile, a friendly face. Really?? What happened to ppl? Even teenagers!! Fun Fact: although they were already a great Live Band, on their first two singles they weren't allowed to play. By Dynamite and Tiger Feet they'd vastly improved, and did play for real.

I remember, along with others, booing this band off the stage in Cardiff Students Union back in 1980. They were just terrible and sounded nothing like their recordings. Watching this perhaps you can see why.
