Mandy, the line about catching 40+ walleye a day and it can’t be done anywhere else really made me upset! Come to the Detroit or st Clair River here in the metro Detroit area in April and may and easily double that 40 fish threshold.. last season was remarkable and it keeps getting better as the years go by, last year we’re numerous days of 100 fish, as we catch our 3 or 4 man limit in under an hour and catch and release until noon or so..

Yeah dont use reverse on the auger to push slush back down the hole. If you hook anything sizeable all that slush will come back up with the struggling fish, and make it so much harder to coordinate and land. Sure it doesn't happen often but when you hook that 10lb walleye or 20lb pike you want to have as many advantages as possible.

right?! I fish the Canadian side and a 6 pounder is small, I haven't even pulled one in less then that..9 and 10's all day trolling the big water. But there something about the deep black and gold ones you find in the northern waters. I feel much more gratification about a 24 inch, 3lb goldie (especially through the ice) from my hunt camp up by Timmins then I do about a 10 lber from Erie. That makes them taste better to me haha!
