• Emerald (maratakaṃ) for Budha (saumya) (Mercury),
• Yellow sapphire (puṣparājaṃ) for Bṛhaspati (devejya) (Jupiter),
• Diamond (vajraṃ) for Shukra (asurācārya) (Venus),
• Blue sapphire (nīlaṃ) for Shani (Saturn),
• Hessonite ( Zircon) (gomeda) for Rahu (the ascending lunar node)
• Cat's eye (vaidūryaṃ) for Ketu (the descending lunar node),

…his lustre radiates in the three worlds …like emerald beads.

…he who in our midst…. that little Krishna..
Rathikeli rukhminiki rangumovi pagadamu
…to Rukmini in playful love…he is the coral tinge on her lips…
Mithi govardhanapu Gomedhikamu
….to the Govardhan mountain … he is the honey coloured Gomedh (Zircon)..
Sathamai Shankhachakrala sandula vaidhooryamu
.. in the opening between the Conch and the Chakra… he is Vaidhoorya (cat’s eye)
Gathiyai mammu gAche Kamalakshudu
…to us who are fortunate… he is our lotus eyed saviour….
Kalinguni thalalapai gappina pushyaragamu
…while dancing on Serpent Kaliya… he radiates like a yellow sapphire…
Yeleti Sri Venkatadri Indraneelamu
… while reigning over Venkata Hill … he is the bright blue sapphire…
Paalajalanidhilona bayani Divya ratnamu
…among all treasures in the milky ocean… he is the divine jewel that stands out…
Baaluneevale dirige Padmanabhudu
…roaming around like a little boy… he is Padmanabha himself…
