In my opinion: the biggest hurdle with new/innovative equipment like this has often been parts/service support after the initial sale. The fact that the Mud Demon is built around a tried and true Schwing pump unit gives it a HUGE ADVANTAGE!!! With proper marketing as well as equally strong parts and service support, I could see this unit really gaining some traction in the market. The other thing I see is that with self powered trailer pump units now being required to meet tier 4 emissions requirements, the cost of that pony motor has increased exponentially. Huge advantage to the Mud Demon in that you are paying for just the pump unit portion and not the tier 4 engine as well. I do not think these are going to take significant market share with guys whom pump concrete 2-4 jobs per day, 5-6 days per week for a living, but will be very popular with those whom already own a skid-steer and would normally pour just once or twice per week, and as such cannot justify the cost of $110K+ for a powered trailer pump unit. They being said, these could be a very useful option to have in the fleet for larger outfits whom could utilize the many advantages of the Mud Demon for specialized work. Great work guys. I much look forward to seeing more from this machine. Lastly: Jeff, that at the end their was karma for not using your sponge 😂😂😂

Like this new piece of equipment it has its place. The sponge that is. I can agree with what you have to say. We should have some good discussions tonight

That looks like it would make a good grout pump or something you could use inside an occupied space for relay pumping...
@MuddyfeetConcretePumping Жыл бұрын
Absolutely. But it pumped 1” rock just fine. You can see that in the next video.

Bobcat makes that same attachment they've had it out for a few years some people like it others don't depends on your tight how tight your access is and how were your pumping to to make you something like that besides
@MuddyfeetConcretePumping11 ай бұрын
It’s not the same. This one is far more superior. This one is actually made by Schwing and has lot better quality than the bobcat. It also puts out 3 times the volume that the bobcat built one.

If it gets stuck like that again when sucking back give it one or two pumps forward and then put into reverse again and that should get it I use a soft ball when sucking back because sometimes the bag can turn and let Air past it

does that bobcar come with a remote? technology has come a long way

The pump comes with a remote. We had some issues with it. We are working on getting them in works with the guys Scott uses on his trailer pumps.

That thing seems to have some speed! Sounded like it was pumping 70 yds per hour when he cranked the volume up! So what’s this setup cost? Just the pump and does the size of skid steer determine yds per hour? I was thinking of buying a small 17-24m and use it as a line pump if I didn’t have a job for it but could use an extra line pump. I do lots of house slabs with line pump and the small boom would be great for that. But if this mud demon is cheaper route than buying new line pump I may go bigger with boom pump and buy one of these. Ideas ideas I guess
@MuddyfeetConcretePumping Жыл бұрын
It gives you lots of options for sure. As far as pricing we really didn’t get into that to much. I did leave a link in the description to their website. The best thing would be to email them and see if they can answer those questions. But it does pump well. I think it definitely has a bright future in our industry.

@@MuddyfeetConcretePumping thanks I’ll check it out. I know there are other attachments made for skid steers or telehandlers but nothing like this I don’t think. I’ve seen grout hogs and some other types of grout pumps but not a full blown line pump able to push mud at the same rate as our line pumps do. It’s a good option to have for smaller pours. Thanks again

Sorry Jeff but I'll still take the trailer pump. This would be good for a contractor that was doing an apartment complex but not for the guy trying to make a living pumping. Thanks for bringing us along.

I think it will work it’s way in to the industry. Definitely will be more expensive as start up. But it has its advantages for a few people.

WHY don't they pull their mud demon with a F350 equipped with a PTO running off the Transmission to provide hydraulic pressure for the demon ! No one is going to be hauling a $100,000 331 , 333g Deere to provide Hydro pressure for the demon !

I think it will be for the contractor that already has a machine on site and needs a pump occasionally, not a full time pumping contractor.
@MuddyfeetConcretePumping Жыл бұрын
It will operate off of any standard flow skid steer. It doesn’t require that big of a machine. We where graciously brought that machine by Yellow House John Deere heavy equipment co. I agree to go buy all that equipment new you would want to also maybe hire out to do dirt works or other trades with that machine.
