Woohoo we went back to the Thames. We had to visit a bit we could drive to, so we went to Greenwich. We are not usually that successful on this part of the foreshore but this time we found some really interesting tiny things in a patch of pins! Come and see what we found on our first trip back to the Thames foreshore :)
We also announce the winners of our giveaway and there is a little film about Sunny Cat and how he came into our lives, as we have had him for one year :)
We have opened a Ko-fi account, so if you wanted to support us by buying us a metaphorical cup of coffee it would be greatly appreciated xx

Hello, A fantastic video and Sunny's story is also wonderful. One of my three cats, Phoebe, was a shelter cat I adopted for my late wife after she lost her little Female. Niki just turned 17 in March, and belonged to an elderly neighbor who had fallen in her home and had to move to assisted living. She had two cats, Maggie an Niki, who were both out in the cold during the winter of 2017. She came home one weekend and let me have Niki when I told her I had Maggie. Thanks to a couple neighbors, we managed to catch Maggie and I gave her a good home. Sinbad was also a stray who sadly passed two years ago, and my third living cat is Shadow. A splendid fellow who moved under my house when his former owners decided to get two puppies. He finally moved in when the first snow hit, a rather nasty Nor'easter we get in New England. Anyway, life is good with my three Felines and your wonderful videos. I hope to see England someday. Please be safe and God Bless. Sorry for the length of this comment.

I’m still not certain who rescued who. There was a lot of rescuing happening at any rate. It seems as if Sunny knew from the beginning that you needed him. A lot of love to spread around. Back at the Thames! That was fun and was glad to see Oscar joining you. Those were pretty cool finds and I think my favorite was the marble piece, it will have a perfect new life in your beautiful garden. Sunny cat is so sweet. We had a cat that when it purred his nose ran and dribbled. He would also lick the menthol rub off your chest or feet if he could get to it and that made his nose run also. He was a tuxedo cat. We have had lots of pets and they never live long enough. Bless you Sunny. Glad you found some pins, good luck on your treks in future.

Though the finds were few, the fun part is the reveal of how you transform them into art pieces, don't ya think? I so loved Sunny's heart-warming story. Thank you for sharing him with us. It's funny thing how when you select any feline to share your home, soon enough it becomes crystal clear that the clever feline was the one that chose you and you don't own them, they own you and your heart. Sunny did indeed steal the "round up" part of the show, as well as our hearts. Bitsy's image was that of a posh, modern day lady, in her lovely flowered sun hat and (white linen pant suit? looked like it from here anyway). : ).

An aglet is not only to keep the fibers of the lace or cord from unraveling; the brass metal and narrow profile make it easier to hold and easier to feed through the tiny round hand sewn eyelets.

Cats are my favorite creatures. My fondest cat was a British Blue. His name was Smokey. As for the cut French coin, I love your romantic story. The truth is not at all romantic. The coins were sent to London to be melted down, only the men at the docks were spending them. So, the French government cut the, in half to thwart this. The disgruntled dock men through the lot into the river. Nikola White tells the story best. Thank you for all the joy you give with your videos.

The new camera makes a big difference, lots more detail. Caught your eagerness to get back to the old familiar life. It was good to see Oscar out and about with the family. Liked the chewed-up doll. Congratulations on 5000! And Sunny cat's story misted the eyes, warmed the heart and satisfied the mystery of his past. Phew! That was a whirlwind of auspicious events. Hope you can catch your breath enough to keep the joy coming. Thank you!

Excellent job of editing the footage from the both of you! I really enjoy following along with each of you and hearing your interaction, like at 14:40. And, thanks for sharing Sunny's story. I love how he adopted all of you at the first visit! I've had eight cats over the years, usually two at a time, all of them rescues. Currently, we have a big ginger cat, Charlie, and a tabby, Olivia, who looks just like Klaus! It's not nice to pick favorites, but Olivia is absolutely the sweetest! Love her to bits. Oh Kate 💞 huge virtual hugs to you. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a cat. They are family and we never stop loving them. I lost my “Jet” just over a year ago and I still can’t talk about the day he died without crying to I totally empathise with you 💞..... On another note, I’m glad I’m not the only one that loves old pins! I love all old sewing things for some strange reason; buttons, pins, pin holders, thimbles and old sewing machines! Oh and my husband found me a lovely heart shaped bead whilst digging in our garden yesterday. We believe it was once part of a domestic dump site as we’ve found a few bits of pipe stem, some broken up old bottles and pottery. I can’t seem to work out how to date the pottery as different websites confuse me but it’s nice to find as I love crafts too. Oh and Fleur.... I was speaking about possibly having a greenhouse to my husband yesterday as my little cheap plastic ones aren’t so great for my needs... I told him that “I want one like Fleurs! It’s sooo pretty!” 😂 I won’t hold my breath on that one though lol. Lovely finds again and so lucky on the silver sixpence! Oh and I’d just like to add.... Sunny most definitely chose you. What a lovely story and so pleased for both you guys and Sunny. I have also adopted a cat in January due to such a series of coincidences that I believe my little Squeak was meant for me too.

Mudlarking With Kit & Caboodlers We’ve been laying some new slabs on our lawn and I have to admit to sitting there on my little blanket, digging away with my little trowel looking for treasure. When we took some gravel from our drive earlier this year our neighbours said it looked like an archaeological dig because I was sifting though all the layers of soil underneath 😂 Sadly though everything is broken so it’s mostly just broken glass, earthenware and pottery. I would love to do a proper mudlark though!

Aloha K& C!! What a wonderful story! I had "Big Bad Bendy" the giant, black Japanese Bobtail cat for 21 years. He left headless Norewgian rats(big ones) on my doorstep every night for me to step on as I was fumbling around in the dark after work at night-He was so thoughtful that way. I guess now that Sunny's toothless, he can't really bring you any "gifts" unless he "gums" them to death!😉 What a heartwarming story, & Congrats on your 5000! I mentioned your last video on Nicola Whites channel, as she had a video featuring a clay pipe of a headless woman sitting on a toilet.I told her to watch your "clay pipe head replication" video-should she decide to fix the poor headless lady on the potty pipe.😊

Sunny did bring one baby bird in in his mouth. The bird was fine though just a bit damp haha. I think the birds laugh at him, bless him :)

So glad you and Sunny found each other. It's nice to see Oscar finally able to go along on the mudlark. Congratulations on five thousand subscribers and here's to five thousand more🎉. The stone with the grooves through is a sedimentary rock. It was formed by silt and other minerals. Different minerals are layed down at different times causing the layering. The grooves are softer material than the raised areas and have worn away from erosion faster than the harder material. I am a rockhounder not a geologist so am not an expert but hopefully this helps you out.

Awww, Sunny's story is so sweet. The cat in my avatar is Opal. She'll be 3 on July 9th. She was brought to my door on July 13th 3 years ago, yes she was a mere 4 days old. When she was finally both big enough to spay and healthy enough to spay, they looked at her and ask "are you sure she's almost 8 months old?" Yeah, I knew for sure her age within a day. The clinics have a 4 pound minimum (that's just about 1.6 kilos.) She was just barely the weight. Even now, at almost 3 years, she barely tops 6 pounds, less than 3 full kilos (and, no, I didn't have to look it up since I've had to learn kilo weights for dialysis (not me.)) She's also all grey, but you can't see her white "Twinkie" spot on her chest. I think they tried to inject sweet, she's referred to around here as "the little grey ball of anger."
