The main thing you have to remember is to respond to the task given i.e 'write an essay expressing your opinion on the statement.' So write the essay expressing your opinion as well as you can. Good luck!

Essays are personal attempts on some subject. Discursive essays are those where the subject is treated objectively, and the writer doesn't add his personal views on it. Then why is it called an essay as it is devoid of personal touch? It's not meeting that aspect of an essay's definition

The MUET writing task 2 essay is worded in such a way that you are required to provide your own view on the topic.

Hi Intan! It is perfectly fine for you to choose one side of the argument. Some students are not sure of showing partial agreement in an essay then by all means choose a side. You will not lose mark for doing that. Just be sure

Do not be too worried about the 3 different type of essays. All you need to do is to answer the task given and write out your essay (provide your response) in the clearest way possible. For the prob-solution essay, you would need to provide logical solutions to overcome the issue in good English.
