Hi there. No your marks will not be deducted. You should add in details in your elaboration. Make your letter sound realistic. But bear in mind that you have another essay to write that will give you 60 marks max and you only have 50 mins to write this. Good luck!

The main thing you have to remember is to respond to the task given i.e 'write an essay expressing your opinion on the statement.' So write the essay expressing your opinion as well as you can. Good luck!

Essays are personal attempts on some subject. Discursive essays are those where the subject is treated objectively, and the writer doesn't add his personal views on it. Then why is it called an essay as it is devoid of personal touch? It's not meeting that aspect of an essay's definition

Yes going over the word limit is fine. But do not waste time in counting the no. of words ya. I always ask my students to write at least 1 and a half page of their foolscap paper if possible

By your comment I can see that you have used 2 low frequency words (LFW) that shows you have the potential to do well. Do not worry so much. I think you would do well. :) You would need to focus on the other 3 papers after this. Good luck!

You can choose whichever point you like. Choose the ones that you find easy and that you could provide a good elaboration for. The 5 points are there to help all candidates to get the discussion going. There should be no talking during the 3 mins discussion. Good luck!
