We have the same press. This method may work with some mugs but may not work with other mugs that have a thicker base. The best solution (for this press) is to do half the time, flip the mug around & do the other half time. (240 secs divided in half @400 degrees with flip in between). Keeping some bleed on both the top and bottom as you did will also help & give a beautiful finish.

hi im going to try this but can anyone answer is the fade because not enough pressure or its burning? im having an issues with skinny tumblers. and top and bottom the black looks brown. so im trying to figure out if its burning or not enough pressure. and yes iver searched and searched . no really no one out there showing or explaining? im down 5 tumblers. Please help thank you for the tips..
@eXpansiveconsciousness2 жыл бұрын
@@melic76 Browning signifies that your time is too much or you are using too much heat. Dial back on your time and/or heat settings. Fading can be due to not enough pressure, heating problems with your press and/or the heating element, or (if all else fails), the blanks from that specific manufacturer or it could be the batch itself. Try different brands of mugs/tumblers and find which results are best for you. Buy in bulk only after testing a few. You can re-use just one for testing depending on your case.

So my fade is near the handle. Could it be too much tape?
@rockinprintz11 ай бұрын
It could be from the grip & pressure, you might have the sublimation paper where the grip is not tightening correctly. Try bringing back your print back a little from the end of your mug grip and see if that works. If that doesn’t work then I suggest try increasing your temperature and adding more pressure and hold for a longer bake time but not to long. Hope this helps 🙂

I saw the green silicone wrap on your desk. Would it make sense to use it when pressing? Or is it used when baking in oven?
@rockinprintz8 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching my video and your comment, yes it is used for baking, I gave it a try and didn’t work because it wasn’t made for this type of cup. So I had to rule that option out at the time unfortunately.

Both should be ok at least you’re safe with either-or before you close out your program. Probably make two folders for yourself to separate your save formats. That’s what I do I have folders for svg. Jpg, png & cdr(coreldraw) files. Hope that helps

CA YOU TELL ME WHY SOME OF MY IMAGES ARE LIGHTER THAN OTHERS? AM I LEAVING IT IN THE CONVECTION OVEN TOO LONG? I DO 6 TO 7 MINUTES
@rockinprintz3 жыл бұрын
Hello I have never used an convection over before but I found out on my mug press that if I didn’t go 4 full minutes I got light images. You probably should bake it a little longer and make sure you have a good wrap around the mug 🙂

After I heat press a mug or water bottle, the heat tape leaves a yellow stain and I can't get rid of it. The only solution I can come up with is to not use the tape and put the paper and slip into press. is it the type of tape I'm using? It's says it's heat resistant but it is yellow also. Please help! I'm wasting a lot of product trying to figure it out. Thanks!

so what cause the fade edge? You solved it with a paper with longer edge? Cause I do have that issue with my mug. I know the paper is find cause beside that issue of faded edge the colour look so clean I use approx 150 seconds and 170 degree (celsius) it would be around 338 degree F I am a bit afraid to go to 200 degree C (400F around) and 240 seconds wouldn't it make colour go brown since lower temperature and does it fine? (yeah I am a total newbie in sublimation and learning :))

The grip is another problem that can cause the fade so you have to make sure you have added the correct pressure to the mug at all times please refer to my part two video to get an idea how to centerline your mug press. kzbin.info/www/bejne/r6Woo3l3etehaLs
