Here's a personal 'Best Of' video about ‪@peterautoracing‬'s first historic racing weekend of 2023 at Mugello Circuit in Italy. It's always great to be able to to record some action from the various Peter Auto's series, such as Group C Racing, Heritage Touring Cup, Classic Endurance Racing and the modern Endurance Racing Legends. Oh you have outdone yourself this time my friend. You have great camera skills and of course the sound is first class. What a wonderful showcase of these machines and their drivers pushing at mugello. I'm surprised Patrick Peter hasn't contacted you. Someday it would be nice if they had similar coverage as to what goodwood does of course goodwood is just the one track and Patrick Peter would have to perform miracles to get that kind of production value at all the different tracks but I think the world is ready for more historic racing coverage I hope you're watching Patrick. I also love the captions because I had no idea about the GT-1 Ford Matech. So nice to learn something on a Sunday morning when it's raining outside. It's been raining here in Eastern North Carolina for the last 36 hours non-stop it's soggy. My 996 is sitting forlorn and wondering why I haven't driven her this weekend. Soon...❤

IMHO one of the best events in Italy, I was there both saturday and sunday and luckily this year didn't rained like 2022 and they were racing like they should, group C cars where pretty fast for "historic" racing too...

I know that may sound like blasphemy but I always wear earplugs during these events or I'd already be pretty at just 30 years old 😅 during the last two weeks I've been track-side 10 out of 14 days 😬 Anyway, it's pretty insane to feel how loud a full grid of these older cars is (especially CER 1 and Endurance Racing Legends) compared to a full grid of modern GT3s, for example

What beautiful memories you brought back to me mentioning that C63. Well, nice question. I'd say they're pretty damn close if taken both without any muffler mounted on their exhausts. The Chevy in the Lola has a more deep bass frequency compared to those C63s. But yeah the Mercedes were freaking loud especially on overrun/off-throttle

Yes, first three cars at 16:31 (Lola T286, TOJ SC303 and TOJ SC304) have a Cosworth DFV. Then the Group C2 Spice SE90s have the 3.5L DFZ, the green Cheetah G606 (12:21) has a Cosworth DFR and the blue Rondeau (7:20) has the 4.0L DFL

Yes, it's a Courage C60 in the so called 'LMP1 Hybrid' specs, where the term 'Hybrid' only refers to the fact that the chassis of these cars could and was still based on the older LMP900 regulations, but the aerodynamics package was fully up to date with the 2007 LMP1 class. It's powered by a Judd GV4 V10 engine

It's not killing the planet. Racing events are isolated and extremely short instances in the grand scheme of things. Any real damage is coming from the millions of passenger vehicles running 365 days a year.

Carbon output is actually good for the environment. Warming is all cyclical. And the thing that’s causing the most damage is mass agriculture, like soybean farming in the Amazon. Eat more meat to save the world.
