If you actually score the fight with the sound off, you could make a good argument he didn't win and narrowly Spinks won. Still it was much closer than Howard Cosell made it out to be.

I remember seeing a show (might have been CBS Sports Spectacular) just before the Holmes fight in 1980, doing a story on Ali’s verbal decline. They ran a side-by-side comparison of his speech from several years earlier and recent comments. The difference was striking. That’s when I began to realize he was heading downhill. I saw the Holmes fight on the big screen at the New Haven Coliseum and walked out with tears streaming down my face.

He still had animation in his speech and facial expressions that would be replaced by the face devoid of expression and a classic sign of Parkinson’s. For most of us in 1978 we just thought Ali would be punch drunk… I don’t even think CTE’s was a thing… but pugilistic dementia, brain damage in which Parkinson’s is a form of people were afraid of him getting being punch drunk it was called. Not many in 1978 had any idea he was developing Parkinson syndrome

Funniest moment in boxing history . Leon being interviewed after beating Ali for the crown. ‘’ I was like a cobra out there. See? I was amazing. He couldn’t touch me. I was wonderous!’’’ Yep. ThAts right up there in funny moments in boxing history with Bert coopers interview on live tv. after smokin Bert nearly ko’d Holyfield in his fight with Evander. Where we find Bert being interviewed after the glorious fight he had with the real deal . Interviewer says, ‘’Um bert, it looked like you had Holyfield in trouble in round four. How come you couldn’t finish him off? Why you just stop punching ? Bert?’’’ To which bert brilliantly replies, ‘’’uh? Umm? Uh ? Ummm? Uh? I a? Um? Uh,,, I a? I , I , I ah? I Don’t know!😮’ Truly the most brilliant response I ever heard a fighter or actually anyone ever give while being interviewed on live tv. Almost as good a statement as when Bert decided to quit in round two in Bert’s glorious fight against George foreman. Where fight officials asked bert if he wanted to continue after being pummeled by foreman in round one. To which bert gloriously righteously replied, “I ain’t goin out there and getting hit by anymore of them punches . He’s a big guy. I might get hurt .’’’ Good call. Bert. Good call. That’s using your noggin logically. Exactly. Yes. Exactly. In truth.

He declined more after this because of his mouth. The power of the tongue. He had a chance to let people know who Jesus is and ddnt do it. If he thought like this until his death. May God have mercy on your soul. Jesus died for your sins. I love Ali to this day. But if he thought like this he's not with Jesus let alone God.

Jesus (Peace be upon him) is a messenger of God. We Muslims believe in him, the miracles he was granted, his miraculous birth and that he was one of the mightiest messengers of God. But he was not God, nor the son of God. Muslims believe in all the Prophets including Abraham, David, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad (Peace be upon them all). But they all had the same message, that God is only one, and He is not a man, He neither begets nor is He begotten, He is self sufficient and there is nothing like Him.

@@HATL201 you don’t realize what you’re saying. To believe in Jesus is to believe in his teachings, and all his life Jesus taught he was the son, and that only through him could we get to heaven. This is one of the biggest problems with Islam, they praise Jesus, yet say he’s not the son even though he said he was. Either be in or be out. You can’t say you respect Jesus and deny his teachings. Also, one of the coolest things about Jesus is that he never taught people to strike their wives.
@HATL201

@@Bebornagain12345 We don't take our religion from a corrupted book full of contradictions, errors, alterations and having different versions. Here are some of the contradictions in the Bible. Contradiction #1: Christians claim that Jesus is God, and God is All-Knowing and Perfect in Knowledge. Matthew 24:36 says: “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." Jesus clearly says "nor the Son", which is CRYSTAL CLEARLY implying the Son not knowing the hour. How can the All-Knowing God not know something? Contradiction #2: Was Ahaziah 42 or 22 when he became King? 2 Kings 8:26 says: "Ahaziah was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Athaliah the granddaughter of Omri, king of Israel." 2 Chronicles 22:2 says: "Ahaziah was forty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Athaliah the granddaughter of Omri." One verse says 22, the other says 42, a clear numeric contradiction. Contradiction #3: How did Judas die? Matthew 27:5 "Then he threw down the pieces of silver in the temple and departed, and went and hanged himself." Acts 1:18 "Now this man purchased a field with the wages of iniquity; and falling headlong he burst open in the middle and all his entrails gushed out." Both verses describe completely different scenario and the way Judas died. There are many more contradictions. But since you brought up the "wife beating" verse of the Qur'an as many of the enemies of Islam do without ever bothering to look into the explanation of the verse in Hadith, as it doesn't fit their narrative. Hadith is the explanation of the Qur'an. Here's the explanation: And he (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Fear Allaah with regard to women, for you have taken them as a trust from Allaah and intimacy with them has become permissible to you by the words of Allaah. Your right over them is that they should not allow anyone to sit on your furniture whom you dislike; if they do that then hit them but not in a harsh manner. And their right over you is that you should provide for them and clothe them on a reasonable basis.” Narrated by Muslim, 1218. Furthermore, about the meaning of beating in that verse in another Hadith: Al-Hasan al-Basri said: this means that it should not cause pain. ‘Ata’ said: I said to Ibn ‘Abbaas, what is the kind of hitting that is not harsh? He said, Hitting with a siwaak and the like. [A siwaak is a small stick or twig used for cleaning the teeth - Translator] The purpose behind this is not to hurt or humiliate the woman, rather it is intended to make her realize that she has transgressed against her husband’s rights, and that her husband has the right to set her straight and discipline her. Now let's come and see your Bible: Samuel 15:3 says: "Now go and smite Amalek and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass." Killing infants? What have the infants done wrong? For what crime are they killed? Is that something you expect from the most just God? All praise be to Allah, for preserving the Holy Qur'an from all kind of corruption, contradictions and different versions, unlike the Bible. Bible was once a Holy scripture revealed from God, but because its guidance was not meant for the whole humanity, it has not been preserved. Since Qur'an is revealed to the last and final messenger prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), its guidance is also for the whole of humanity, hence it's perfectly preserved. It has been memorised by millions of Muslims across the globe in its original language, cover to cover, word to word, letter to letter, it's a miracle of the Qur'an. It's impossible to change the Qur'an, because even our 7 year old kid will correct you if you introduce anything in it, since he has memorised it by heart. We thank Almighty Allah for showing us the right path! And I pray for all the Christians and non-Muslims that may Allah guide them to Islam. Ameen.

@@HATL201 First of all, Jesus is not God, Jesus is the Son of God. He is not God the Father. When you worship Jesus you worship God and vice versa (If you believe in Jesus). One is Father one is Son. It’s two in one. Second of all, for your argument on Ahaziah, that was an error on the translators part, not the Bible. The English translators got the age wrong in 2 chronicles 22:2 because the original transcripts say 22 for both. That is not an error from the Bible, that is an error from the translators since the numbers in the original Hebrew texts have both verses at 22. As for your Judas point, Acts 1:18 isn’t talking about Judas’ death it’s talking about the decay and condition of Judas’ body after he fell from hanging. It is impossible for someone to trip so hard that they cut their belly and spill their intestines lol. And to your point on 4:34, that is still domestic violence lol. Hit them with a twig? Why even hit them at all? No one should ever respond to their spouse by striking them, that’s abuse. The God of the Bible does not condone hitting in marriage by ANY means, the wife is not to hit their husbands and the husbands are not to hit their wives, and if you think there can be a case where they can, then that’s just a flaw within your morality, and your literally defending domestic violence. Men should NEVER hit a woman. Period. And yes in 1 Samuel 15:3 God commands the Israelites to kill the Amalekites because the Amalekites were enemies of Israel who attacked them unprovoked after they crossed the Red Sea, the same way your God commanded Muslims in Quran 47:4 to behead their enemies in battle. Except in the Bible, when Christ came (the New Testament order) many of the Old Testament laws were done away with including laws on stoning and killing the enemies of God along with people who sinned against God since Christs death would allow sinners to be able to be forgiven. That’s why when the Pharisees asked Jesus if he should stone the woman caught in adultery he rebuked them and said “let he who is without sin cast the first stone”. So during that time God commanded those who were against him to be killed and stoned, since no one could be forgiven during the Old Testament except by the sacrifice of a lamb. But after Christs death we are all now able to be forgiven because he took all of our sins with him on the cross, which is why we no longer have to stone and kill sinners. But your Quran says to fight all unbelievers in chapter 9:29, and Mohammed (after mocking and calling the Christians and Jews deceived) even says in verse 30 “May Allah destroy them”. The true God says to pray for unbelievers and to love our enemies, and to preach the gospel of Christ that the world MIGHT be saved. Your prophet saying “May Allah destroy them” is an act of malice, which is a sin. Even if someone is your enemy, even if someone doesn’t believe the same as you do, in no case should you wish death upon them which is exactly what your prophet did.
