Muhammad Ali, the legendary boxer, was not just a champion inside the ring but a beacon of hope and humanity outside of it. His unwavering dedication to justice, equality, and the upliftment of the oppressed reflects the essence of a heart connected to truth and compassion. Ali's legacy reminds us that greatness is not merely in power but in purpose, not in fame but in service to others. In the teachings of Islam, the first man to enter Paradise with the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) will be a black Muslim, Bilal al-Habshi (may Allah be pleased with him), a former slave who rose to become one of the most beloved companions of the Prophet. This profound honor underscores a timeless truth: Allah does not look at our appearances or worldly statuses but at the sincerity and purity of our hearts. Muhammad Ali embodied this message. His life journey as a black Muslim in a world rife with prejudice serves as a testament to resilience and the power of faith. May his example inspire us to strive for justice, serve humanity, and prioritize the state of our hearts over the superficiality of appearances.

@seanbyrne3727 Жыл бұрын
What do you mean by compare? Comparison as an athlete and person or compare their charisma and speech?. I'm Irish and have never ever heard anyone compare him to Ali. I've heard their names in the same conversation when discussing the greatest trash talkers or most charismatic athletes but aside from how proficient they are with language and using psychology to get the better of their opponent and the fact they're both fighters they are nothing alike.

the thing is that modern people is craving for idols. Most young people haven't seen a true idol in its entire life. So the only reference they have is Kim Kardashian, Connor McGregor, Shakira. They don't know nothing about Ali, Bowie, Lennon, Coppola, etc. For most of them, a trap singer is the closest to a god they will ever know.

Muhammad Ali was mentally very very strong. Before the Foreman bout, even his biggest well wishers, fans, critics etc did not believe in him defeating Foreman. They even admonished him to back down from the fight. He must have given so many interviews in which he would have been asked similar questions, but his belief system was something else. In spite of his age not on his side and him being pitted against a prime Foreman, he still ended up winning that fight and literally on his own terms as he thought of rope a dope only after the first round of the fight. A true champion.

In 1964, all I could here was the young Cassius Clay saying that he was gonna whoop reigning heavyweight champion, Sonny Liston!!!! By the evening of February 25th, I was so nervous because Casious Clay wasn't much older than we were, so almost all of the teens who were around, were pulling for Cassius Clay, because we identified with him!! And then, the fight began!! Mr. Clay was so smooth, while Sonny tried to catch Clay with his rather pondering moves!!! Only in the 5th round did I notice that there was something in Clay's eyes!!! Cassius Clay, soon became a Muslim, and began to stand up for black people, and how we were treated in the 1960!! I was appalled when they took his license to fight, mostly because Muhammad Ali was never going to bow down to any man!!! From that time until right now, I have never bowed to any human!! I love people, but I know that I shouldn't place no one above me!! NO! I've never met Muhammad Ali, but I learned and felt Mr Muhammad Ali for most of my Blues Life!! And yeah, he & Howard Cossell, were like two bear cubs!! They were great on stages together!!!Ten Hut!! There are two men who saved boxing. Muhammad Ali & Mike Tyson!!! WORD. BIRD(Legg)

That preemptive eulogy on Ali by Cosell summed up the mood before the Foreman fight, the sporting journalists really did think Big George would bring down the curtain on Ali's career in a most undignified brutal manner and it pained them to even contemplate what they thought was inevitable. It shows what a terrifying figure George was at that time and just how even though the experts thought Ali was special, the term 'Greatest' was still only his self-professed moniker.
