In this video I recorded for you guys some casual conversations that I've had here in Mauritania with the Arabic that I've learnt across the years in Egypt.
The point of the video is to show you that if you learn the basic, classical Arabic you can pretty much understand any Arabic dialect.
At the end of the video I do a de-brief/summary of the video.
___________________________________________________________________
If you're interested in learning the Arabic language watch this case study on how I went from 0 to fluent in Arabic in my first 10 months, the method I used and the secret techniques.. etc

I think that we actually look funny at you not because we think you're speaking funny, but because your speech sounds so eloquent. Fus'ha is revered by Arabs as an eloquent language which is very rare to hear in everyday life. So I think it often takes us by surprise to hear someone speaks in it on nonofficial occasions.

Brother just to let you know. Moroccan darija is the closest to classical Arabic. Far closer to ClassicaI arabic than Egyptian spoken Arabic. I know it sounds strange. But that's the truth. Only pronunciation and the speed with which we Moroccans talk make it sounds different. But studying the origin of words, you'll find 90% is pure Arabic. No more than 10% of darija vocabulary comes from Amazigh (a native north African dialect) and Spanish since we colonized Andalusia for 800 years. The remaining 90% is pure classical Arabic. Thank you for sharing these videos.

Southern moroccans dont speak darija they speak hassaniya arabic like Mauritania but they pronunciation is more clear and articulate and they dont have words from west africans languages like mauritanian hassaniya so I had more facilities to understand hassaniya spoke by southern moroccans than mauritanians.

The world wouldn't be where it is today if some intellectuals didn't sacrifice their time & lives to travel across seas to study knowledge, history & language of other nations. The golden age saw a flood of European thinkers into the middle East to study alot of the words you use today are retrieved from Arabic even the roman numerals were replaced by Arabic numerals.

are you against learning languages or smth? Muslims all around the world in the islamic golden age spoke and wrote in Arabic but they still retained their own cultures that we see now today.
