Fun Fact: Muichiro became a hashira 2 months after picking up a sword FOR THE FIRST TIME. For scale, it took tanjiro 2 years to become a base level demon slayer.

@@cloversz A possibility of why it took longer for Tanjiro, but please note that Tanjiro spent a lot of his training time mastering the basics of swordsmanship and yet still isn’t a hashira after a while of using sun breathing, while muichiro blasted through the ranks very fast while also creating his very own breathing style. Don’t think i’m downplaying Tanjiro’s skill and achievements though! He’s a great demon slayer in his own right, fighting upper ranks, being the best slayer in the final selection and so on. So many fans are saying they’re disappointed with how the Gyokko fight turned out or how he’s so weak (claiming him to be weaker than Gyutarou), but y’all need to consider the fact that he’s literally a victim to new power scaling/increase. Muichiro who was struggling to hit Gyokko before and even had to get help from a civilian child suddenly obtained the mark and had all of his stats boosted (100x), becoming strong and fast enough to behead Gyokko without even him realizing. But it even happened in the first place because Gyokko had been too cocky, believing that he’s too strong to be killed thus not needing to finish off the hashira that he believe would eventually die in his pot. Not to mention, he didn’t use his final form until near the end of the fight, but it was already too late by then bc of mark. Another thing to consider is their actual abilities. Gyokko’s DBA is deadly, but it relies on TOUCH to actually be lethal. And unfortunately for him, he was put up against Muichirou who’s undoubtedly the best DODGING hashira due to his breathing style that layers him in mist. That makes muichirou the perfect counter for someone like Gyokko. This fight was meant to be underwhelming and one sided from the start, it’s what happens when a new power scale gets introduced. Plus, it’s meant to serialized the fact that demon slayer mark is just THAT op, and that it will affect the upcoming fights/arcs drastically.

UZUI TENGEN!! Yes, tengen is my favourite Hashira. That Sound Breathing is DANGEROUS without having a mark like tanjiro or muichiro. Can you imagine tengen knowing the melody of giyutaru and daki attacks early in that fight? Now imagine tengen having BOTH hands whiles knowing the melodies of their attacks, Tengen Sound breathing is unique, character design aswell the fact that he's a shinobi, using dual blades and even bombs. On top all of this is my favourite, he fights like a beast! Stabbed by kunais and hand chopped off, poisoned and still went toe to toe with an Upper Rank. Yup, tengens my Top 😂

And the one explanation they didn't give this ep was that muichiros seventh form was created by him where he moves super fast, the mist is created by him slowing down and speeding up such that his afterimages become mist, the moments you see him walking super slowly are just afterimages that already passed and he's not there anymore, kinda like a taunt to the demon, but anyways he's moving so fat that you only see where he was few seconds ago and anything he does it shown in that afterimage, so when he finally cut his neck he actually cut it from another place than his afterimage showed, that's why it kinda looked as if he walked up on him and casually cut him but actually he cut him so fast that his afterimage showed it later

Because this arc plus the training to me is just to expand on the fact the Hashiras are strong and our Mc is also getting stronger after one died and one out already. Gyokko's hits are UNBLOCABLE. i know it must be confusing but hear me out: Gyokko's hits are unblockable because everything he touches turns in to fish. meaning if he touches nichirin sword of a demonslayer, no one would be able to kill him since demons can only get killed by nichirin. Also this was the WORST matchup for Gyokko, cause Muichiro is undoubtly the Best DODGING hashira. Also he was fighting MARKED TOKITO. Its sad that Gyokko really is just a showcase of marked hashira's capabilities.

Ngl Gyokko is the most underwhelming as a upper moon. Like all the other upper moons got a proper fight, they were tough to kill people had to team up to kill them. And they had a proper story about their past lives before they became a demon. This applies to all Upper demons(Kokushibo, Douma, Akaza, Hantengu, Gyutaro). Except Gyokko. Gyokko doesnt have any story about his past life. His fight is very short compared to all the other upper moon demon fights. He gets killed easily & that too by a single human. Like Muichiro just walks up to him & slices his neck like Giyu sliced Rui's neck. That is so underwhelming. Add to that his annoying goofy attitude where they're trying to make him funny but it's not at all funny. I was expecting UFOtable to elevate the manga & change/add things to the story & fight but that didn't happen. Easily the most underwhelming moment out of all seasons. A Hashira vs Upper Moon isn't supposed to be easy & one sided like this. In words of Tengen its supposed to be "flashy" lol

Maybe an Unpopular Opinion but Season 3 has been Pretty Mid so far, especially compared to Season 1 and 2! Mostly because especially the Characters are kind of Mid in my eyes! Muichiro as an Example is pretty Strong and he has his Moments but in most Cases he seems kinda Boring as he just lacks the Charisma of an Tengen or Rengoku Mitsuri had like 5 Minutes of Screentime so far and did close to nothing SO FAR (which is obviously about to change now) And Genya hasn't really Contributed much either except for getting Impaled like every 2nd Episode But the Biggest Dissapointment is Easily Gyokko! Like Seriously? That dude is Supposed to be Upper 5 and Stronger than Gyutaro? Based on what? First of all, Fish Powers? Really? Second of all Gyutaro, while splitting up his Strength managed to hold his own against an Hashira and 3 Pretty Strong Demon Slayers and nearly killed them all and basically only lost because of his Overconfidence, Gyokko lost against one Hashira and barely even Managed to scratch him! Gyutaros and Dakis strongest Attacks destroyed an Entire City while Gyokkos strongest Shown Moves are probably Barely Building Level Gyutaro managed to Cripple an Hashira several Times, while Gyokkos Weaker Attacks didn't even Manage to Oneshot Civilians! Hell he couldn't even get Hagenuzuka to look at him Even with the Mark, Tanjiro had to use all the Strength in his Body to Behead Gyutaro, while Gyokko was Beheaded with a Simple Move barely 2 Minutes after Claiming to have "Diamond Like Skin" in an Form that only "3 People have ever seen" And even his Poison did Barely Anything to Muichiro, while Gyutaros killed within like less than 5 Minutes And hell, Gyokko didn't even have a Backstory Maybe i'm Underestimating him and Muichiro is just that Strong that he seemed this Weak but after that Jaw Dropping Fight Scene in Season 2 with the "Weakest" Upper Rank, i just can't help but Feeling underwhelmed by Gyokkos Performance and i honestly just can't see him as Stronger than Gyutaro and i honestly Hope that Hantengu does better than that

For what it's worth, I really like season 3, but I did like the previous seasons better, since they were more fleshed out. This arc is very short, and mainly meant to serve as the transition into what will be the best arc of the entire story.

I think because tanjiro is not as strong as a hashira. If tengen got the mark it will be the same result as Gyokko. Since gyutaro and tengen almost or kinda the same level. Even when tanjiro with a mark, tengen still the main attack on gyutaro. That's show how different level a hashira is compared to the trio

Well, Mitsuri has had a lot more than 5 minutes of screen time, and she will get a lot more. Genya has contributed, but not as much as Nezuko and Tanjiro and that's on purpose. Gyokko is very strong, a lot stronger than Gyutaro. He just went up against a much stronger opponent, that being a marked pillar. Muichiro and Tengen, both being pillars are similar in strength and Gyokko beat Muichiro in two seconds earlier in the arc. Goes to show how much stronger Gyokko is than Tengen. The fight shows just how big of a boost the mark is since it let Muichiro win like that. Gyokko's abilities are also busted. He has better poison than Gyutaro and can kill with just one touch. And Gyokko doesn't need a backstory, you don't need one to be a good character

The only moments she Appeared as far as i can Remember are her Introduction, that short scene where she Killed some Random Demons and now her Appearance in the newest episode, that's Literally all the Screentime she had so far! 2. That Water Attack proves Basically nothing as far as Strength is Concerned, that's more like a Trap than an Actual Attack and is Actually kind of Cowardly! If you count that you could also make an Argument how damn Strong Enmu must have been for Trapping Rengoku and the Others in that Dream but Rengoku himself stated that he SHOULDN'T have fallen for that Trick and that it's embarassing for an Hashira 3. Gyokko's Poison is more Deadly, based on what? Tengen and Inosuke had Poison Resistance and still almost died and had to be Saved by Nezuko! Muichiro doesn't have Poison Resistance and is Fine, that alone should tell you everything you need to know And 4. Gyokko is Stronger based on what? He did Show literally NOTHING that would Prove that 5. And yeah, he kind of needs a Backstory as he is Bland as Fuck without it! His Entire Personality so far is Basically: "I'm an Huge Asshole, just because and i like art", the only Memorable thing about this dude is his Design, aside from that he is easily one of the most Forgettable Anime Villains i ever Encountered

Honestly? The season with Gyutaro was much better, there was a feeling that he was one of the strongest demons, and here? nothing, 4 episodes of chatter and it dies, if the 5th moon died like this, it's like some fucking joke. Overall, this series feels way too rushed to me because of scenes like this

it definitely has to do with the villain honestly, this 2 villains is way to focused on long range wakanda abilities while gyutaro is like akaza, pure on melee with extra long range abilities on top, and the tengen vs gyu fight is more even, this season its literally just strong then not strong then 1000 opercent stronger then not, lastly they focused way too much on capturing the manga 1:1 unlike ons eason 2 where its almost anime content only from like ep 7-10
