The diferentes between Tengen fight and Tokito, is that Tokito awake "the red marks" and they explained that those marks gives you a boost in physical condition, that's why it was easy for him to defeat upper 5.

In the season start Muzan also said Gyutaro would be upper five if he wanted. But he only cared about Daki

No, he didn't say he could be upper 5 if he wanted. He just said he was weak because of daki. Upper 5 is stronger than him. If kokatsu wasn't there, Muichiro would have died in that water prison pot without doing anything to the upper 5. Besides, if he hadn't opened his mark, he would have died from poison this time. (Considering that he fainted directly from the poison when his mark disappeared). Lastly tengen is one of the weakest hashira and he couldn't get a mark that't why upper six fight seemed like harder

Thats not the temporary sword. The one Haganezuka is forging is the one meant for tanjiro and Rengoku's sword guard is supposed to be put on that as requested by Tanjiro. And Muichiro's blue sword is also his permanent one

The power gap on upper moons 6,5 and 4 isn’t too vast. But the jump from 4-3 is huge.

Regarding Tengen vs Gyutaro, and Muichiro vs Gyokko, I think a thing to keep in mind is that styles at times can make fights. Imo, Gyutaro was probably just as tough to take out as Gyokko is, if not possibly even more in some scenarios with his nasty fighting style.. Tengen also happens to be like a perfect match for Gyutaro bc of their similarities. Muichiro awakened his demon slayer mark as well! which is significant and definitely helped him overcome Gyokko. On the other hand, Id say Hantengu is a step up with the dragons and all those abilities 😭.. so much too keep track of...! And to think that Akaza is literally a martial artist fist fighter, but outranks all this stuff... and then whats next above him...... man!

Gyokko is just straight up stronger by a lot, but there definitely are good and bad matchups as well

@natalimoina I dont think this is officially stated by the author ever, so id argue its just an opinion thing, but if it is then cool I didnt know! I just think match ups matter A LOT more then the ranks though. I think the bottom upper 3 are all very very close in strength, but in their own ways, while the top upper 3 are each actually a jump up from the other. Lots of ppl say the complete opposite of you, I dont know for sure but these are just my thoughts.

Season 2 wasn't story telling and disappointing. I dont know what masha meant that she would be disappointed with a season 2 type of show going forward.
