By the way, when I checked, there were reviews like that for the nearby hotels as well. Just much less than on the river itself, and mainly in Russian. My favourite was the one that went something like "it was nice, but the beds are short, out of the three of us only Aether managed to fit". And a pictire with the other two being Zhongli and Childe. Seems to be deleted now, though, because I can't find it.

As fun as the Genshin fandom can get, I hope that these Google map jokes won't end up like what the Steven Universe fandom did to a small motel in Pennsylvania back during the show's heyday in 2015. To those of you who don't know the context, back in 2015, a small motel in Pennsylvania known as Keystone Motel was suddenly bombed with jokes from the show Steven Universe because Keystone Motel was also the name of an in-show motel which had some sort of importance to the show's story. While some of them made some innocent jokes referencing the show, it also led to a mass bombing of 1-star negative reviews that were disguised as jokes such as "The pizzas they serve here are square", "The toilets were clogged and freezing cold" and "An angry red-skinned kid got the swimming pool water evaporated". This caused the motel to be demoted off the Google maps and nearly got bankrupt because of the fake 1-star reviews.

Well that’s because they had the same name, and the show based it’s location off of the real location. Liyue and Mondstadt and whatnot don’t actually exist, they were created as fake points on the map. Unless there’s a real business out there called “Liyue Harbor” or “Mondstadt Cathedral,” no actual reviews are being put at actual real places, so no real-world locations or businesses are in jeopardy from the fake reviews, because unlike that motel, the reviews showed here are being cast at fake places created solely to meme with fake reviews.

Yeah, I remember a few months ago in the Honkai Impact reddit we had a madlad place the religious place: "Temple of the Herrscher of Sentience" in a random park in Portugal, because it was just beside a chinese restaurant called Fuhua (both technically come from the same body), and all the comments on that place were like "great place, I got scammed bu I'll come back, YATTA/10." Then a few days after it was removed by Google Maps. Truly one of the Senti moments of all time...

During this very first Anniversary (when Inazuma was a new region) is when we realized how little rewards the Game gives us for being long-time Players. Most of the Community responded to this by making horrible Low-Star Reviews on other Mobile Gacha Games (Example: Honkai Impact 3rd, Azur Lane, Arknights, Aether Gazer, Punishing: Gray Raven, Summoner's War, Clash of Clans, Cookie Run Kingdom, etc...) and Google Classroom, for some reason, on App Stores, complaining about Genshin Impact's horrible Anniversary Reward System. Of course, most such Reviews are taken down by now. For this current Anniversary? No major global controversy. Kinda disappointed. XD
