Muhammad Hassan Ilyas is a young passionate theologian, researcher and expert in ancient Arabic language and literature, greatly inspired by the famous Islamic scholar Javed Ahmed Ghamidi. He is a close associate of Javed Ahmed Ghamidi and is part of his ground breaking research project on the historical record of the sayings of the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (P.B.U.H), with an aim to rid the prevailing Islamic ideology of common misconceptions in order to counter religious extremism.

Sometime I realize when our prophet (pbuh) conveyed message of God to Ahl-e-kitab how difficult it would be. They must argued with Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) that we had a history of prophets and messengers and their religious and spiritual leaders how we left them and start practicing new religion (in fact it was not new, it was the same religion which was sent to Adam to Ibrahim). Pretty much every prophet came across with the same situation.

I truly love this conversation, instead of outright rejection of one n others interpretations, we can debate in a civilized and intellectual manner without taking things on ego, but purely with the intention of learning and reformation. Ma Sha Allah..This young scholar Hassan is endowed with exceptionally high qualites of Tadabbur and Taffaqah fil Deen and Qur'an and Sunnah. As a matter of fact if one wants to understand the Quran and Sunnah, one has to first of all shed off all preconceived notions and interpretations and approach Al-Deen with a fresh mind and try to extract the actual spirit behind each and every Qur'anic injunction and Sunnah and the Background ( Shaane Nazool ) of such injunction. For example there are numerous narrations about Mairaj, some contradicting other. This is a dichotomoy. But if you go through Qur'an and compare it with different narrations, with complete tadabbur and concentration, you will reach the same conclusion what Ghamidi Sahib has deduced that is that diffent occasions and episodes have been mixed up to present just one incident of Mairaj. There are many other examples as well. For example about captured made servants and dealing with them. But reciting each Ayah of Quran ( starting wIth prayers before Allah SWT" Rabbi Zidni Ilma) with translation and tadabbar therein, itself opens up the mind of the reader and he can assimilate the true meaning of each Ayah.if he cant understand it at one place, he will find the answer at some other Ayah in Qur'an (at least this is what my personal experience is and I picked up this idea after reading Molana Modoodi ). When Allah SWT Himself says in Qur'an "Walaqad Yassarna Qurana", how come, it cant be understood by us. Jazak Allah.
