hii! im new to your channel and am really amazed at how many languages youve learned! Could i ask how you learn new languages? im learning korean right now using a course by yonsei university, but i think my speech is limited. Thank you!

Hi there, welcome! 🥰 I think I learn languages throughout the years slowly, like everyone else 😅 I’m also not fluent in all the languages I’ve learned 😊 I can definitely relate to being frustrated at my korean speaking skills, but there’s really no easy fix other than practicing by talking to others in Korean! Better yet if you have local Koreans to talk to 😊 Lots of exposure to the language (korean contents, music, drama) also helps to get a feel of the language, but make sure you also pay attention to the korean and not just read the english subtitles/translations hehe Those are basically what I’m trying to do now. Hope it answers your question! 😁

I don’t think locals usually eat as much as we did for breakfast (because we were trying a bunch of things) but steamed buns aren’t considered a full meal for them! 😆

This question is out of context from the video, I'm very sorry. But I ever saw your post on Instagram that you reached a level of 5, an advanced level probably, in the Korean language in just a year. It shocked me😮-- impressed me😯, and then made me stressed in sequence 😖 I assumed mastering a new language needed about 4-5 years at least to be fluent, and this period is my second year. But in your case, I have even no idea what I've to say. Do you have advice or crucial things for learning faster a new language (speaking is a priority), my part is learning English? Or, it highlights what a stupid I am 😵

Heyaa, no worries! 😄 and noooo it’s not an amazing feat to reach level 5 korean in a year, I’m just taking the regular program in KU KLC and that’s the normal pace (considering you always pass) 🙈 each level is 3 months long and there are barely any holidays between semesters. Plus, my korean is still not as fluent as I’d like to be at all! 😅 I’m good for daily conversations, but even then my grammar is still questionable and lots of proper words are missing (though my sentences are still understandable) But I do agree that practicing speaking is a biggggg part in learning any language! But also you need some basic understanding of grammar and sentence structures before even trying to speak right? ☺️ All in all, I’m just another normal person struggling to learn a new language, but sharing my love of it through videos. If I look fluent in videos, it’s because they are scripted and I retake until I nail them 😂 Hope that explains! ☺️

@@GESTEofficial It's such an honour knowing your story, and I'm glad can reach you on this channel. 🥺 I feel like 2 years learning English, but I'm stuck at the intermediate level (B2), except for the speaking level, and still not fluent when I'm speaking which drives me to feel like I have 'IQ jongkok'. Always excited to hear your next story, Gen(e) 😇
