I think nikocado is one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. 09/07/2024 edit: I just heard the news and I’m genuinely so so happy for him! I’ve been overweight for much of my life and have struggled to get it down, so I admire and applaud him with a smile on my face. I always meant it when I said his condition made me *sad* and I’m very, very happy for him 🥰

I agree. Even his personality is totally different than 5 years ago. I realize it's probably an act but he's headed for an early grave if he keeps gaining weight. I watched a recent video of him in Walmart or Target and he could hardly walk and was breathing so loud and heavily. Very sad

Idk some people can't gain weigh no matter how much they would eat. I personally knew at least 3 people of this sort, one including my own family member. They could eat tonnes of food and it was like nothing to them. And none of them also suffered/is suffering from any eating disorder. Sometimes life is just this unfair I guess 😅 that's saying I've heard a lot of women in SK suffers from bulimia. Koreans basically worship their food ( rightfully so tbh, bc it's mostly healthy and tasty) so refusing to eat would be considered disrespectful or at least weird, therefore I assume it's much more suitable for them to just eat a meal and puke it out later when no one sees. But like I said it is possible that some of the mukbang creators just simply can't gain weight no matter what.

Mukbangs we’re originally done because in South Korea they are very used to eating in large groups. When the kids got old enough to move out on their own and were farther away from family, they were sad because they were eating alone. So, mukbang was a way when live streaming became a thing for these people to eat with others and talk so that they weren’t feeling so lonely. It was just a way for them to cope with living on their own for the first time and not having friends and family around all the time when having meals.

This is one of those things I just cannot understand. There is something kind of nasty about watching and listening to someone eat this way. Is there nothing that people won't do (or pay) for profit? Eating that much food - especially unhealthy food - can't be good for anyone. Let's just say that they are spitting it out (or worse yet, regurgitating it) later? that's so much of the wrong stuff getting into the system. Sodium, nitrates, potassium, etc. Also, when "fans" of one of the eaters called them out for "wasting food" because of spitting it out, that's crazy. It's wasteful and gluttonous for one person to eat like that just for the views. Pretty soon, there will be people doing much, much worse for the profits. Sick.

I discovered my love of avocados in when I was about 9. Back then avacados were few and hard to find out of season. I'm 36 now and a few years ago I realized that as an adult making my own money I could fulfill my childhood food dreams. Sadly I lost my love of sweet food so I couldn't eat a whole cake or an entire package of Oreos with a gallon of milk. But I saw a huge bin of avocados that were 50¢ each. I bought 20 of them and made a huge bowl of chunky guacamole. I ate it all and later that night I was stuck in the bathroom understanding why it's not good to eat that many avocados. I still love them but I eat them in moderation.

The only person I used to watch on the regular was Nick Perry/Nikocada. I’ve seen a few of the other’s muk-bangers sporadically. I was subbed to Nick when he was younger, thinner and sharing his lifestyle and travels. I watched him go through all his changes too.. with his eating habits, body weight gain and relationship troubles, some of which I believed to be real and the majority of it being obviously fake bc neither Nick or Orlin can “act” their ways out of a paper bag. LoL I decided to unsub and discontinue watching bc their pranks became non-entertaining for me. Pooping on his chair and bed sheet were gross enough especially when it became visually. Fake or not, it was a gross thing to share with his viewers! Where I drew the line was all the fake domestic violence. To anyone who has gone through such turmoil and fear at the hands of another probably didn’t appreciate it either. I haven’t viewed his channel in at least over a year now.. and I don’t plan to ever again. I wish him well and I hope he doesn’t die for the sake of his occupation. I can appreciate some of these other muk-bangers who decided to lose weight and get healthy without compromising their channels, they proved that it can be done. Kudos to them, I’m sure it wasn’t easy but they did it. 👍🏼😊🌻

The thing about Nik's vegan days is that he was a raw vegan, which explains his health problems, even though he looked healthy, he wasn't. However, there was a brief period in his mukbang days where he would incorporate healthier vegan options like kimchi and tofu but he ate quite a big portion of the food. I guess what led him to the path he is on is that he renounced his vegan status and he began eating binge eating food. The line of thinking is that: I'm no longer a vegan, so... I might as well indulge myself with these used to be taboo food and make money off of it.

Veganism has absolutely nothing to do with his personality turning so awful or him eating like crazy. My friend suddenly got all excited about veganism and started it, she lost a lot of weight in 2 years but you know what? She destroyed her health as well. She was not getting the nutrients needed for the body and she had way more health issues than she had when she was not vegan! She renounced it and now she is exercising and eating both indulgent comfort foods and healthy food. And guess what?? Her health has gone back to better!! It is his thinking, mindset, and personality that matters!! Veganism and non-veganism have nothing to do with it. It is just some stupid thing vegans like to throw out trying to justify that the vegan diet is healthy when it is actually not and is actually harmful to health!
