Regen will happen only when there is enough exhaust pressure out of the DPF canister and heat to blow it away. If the DPF is blocked beyond a certain level, regen would fail no matter you're on the gas for one hour straight, only accumulating more soot and by that time it's too late. Your car's performance will severely suffer along with super soot black smoke. This is 96% blockage Hyundai would simply have said to replace the DPF unit, which is half the value of the car's engine. :D

Nice work! 1) Hyundais have polluting engines in diesel, 2) Dpf intent was to capture carbon from being released in air, however now it is still being discharged in land and water. See if this can be discharged in environmentally friendly way or returned to hyundai 3) always wear mask, and ppe Lots of Love, thanks for continuing to repair instead of replace ,

On a serious note, use a mask, those suphates trapped there are poisonous as well as cancer causing. Take safety seriously, if needed pass it on to the customer's bill as a small charge. DPF is not more important than life.

I totally agree with this, @mukesh ji, Please be cautious, when you clean dpf that is chocked you are allowing to yourself to get exposed to equivalent of 20 liters diesel fume at once which dangerous to your health and people surrounding that dpf. also it's not just carbon it also contains carcinogenic elements that are filtered, so that it's not released to environment.

Petrol engine is lame. You save a lot on fuel + you get unmatched power of diesel engine. Even if you spend 40000 on new dpf after 1 lakh kms what’s the big deal? You have already saved a lot on fuel.

You removed the soot but no ash at all. You need to use both a strong alkaline solution and a strong acid solution. The alkaline removes soot, and the acid removes the ash.

The only thing I would change about the way you're cleaning it is replace the dove shampoo with Dawn dish soap Dawn dish soap has very unique properties when it comes to dissolving oil and solvents such as heavy Grease and being able to not only remove the carbon suit with the help of the peroxide it will not allow it to rebond to the surface while it's being fresh flushed excuse me free but elsewise your videos on the catalytic converter in this a very impressive
