Raja Raicharan Dhabal Deo of this royal family was also a great fighter for the freedom fight of India. It is heard that many brave freedom fighters including Khudiram Bose, Barin Ghosh, Prafulla Chaki, Naren Gosai used to travel there. British police made many attempts to arrest Raja Raicharan Dhabhal Deo. But it was not easy to arrest him. Later, Raja Raicharan Dhabal Deo was arrested in the Alipore conspiracy case. Although history books do not remember him, the people of Jangalmahal still pay homage to the great freedom fighter.
