I honestly don’t care about the changes for the Live Action Mulan, I’m so excited for it, It’s still the same story, you guys should understand that the whole point of Mulan isn't about the talking comedic dragon, it’s not about the love interest and it’s not even about the songs what so ever This whole story is about Mulan who is a female character who fights and kick ass for the right reasons, she does this to save her father's life, she does this so she brings honor to her family, she does this to prove herself that she can do anything This movie is supposed to be about her, it’s one of those films that leads her up to become hero and saves her country, so i get you guys want this version to be exactly like the original Disney version, it’s still is, but sometimes, when it comes to Remakes and adaptations, it has to have changes to make it stand out on it’s own, there’s no need to keep it the same as the other version, it’s kinda pointless if they do that
@WolframiteWraith5 жыл бұрын
Mulan's whole attitude is kinda weird. She went to a match--maker in the first movie and was well aware of the cultural expectations on her and willing to fulfill them, only breaking tradition to safe her father's life but suddenly she only believes in marrying for love, even when so many lives are on the line?
@jasonharvote40935 жыл бұрын
Maybe mulan meant marriage to enemies but i guess it can be really the sane thing as its still somebody you dont know or probably love.

The idea of Shang finding out he was a prince would have worked so well here, if it meant he was part of the other kingdom. Being a princess doesn't sound too great from a more adult perspective. In more progressive societies you're prepared from birth to be a government official, and in traditional societies (what most Disney movies take place in) you are groomed to be sold or traded for diplomatic deals! Think about it, princesses were just bargaining chips! But little girls really want the title and status associated with it, as it comes with an awesome palace/castle and a walk-in closet filled with pretty, extravagant dresses. This isn't even an opinion, it's an empirical fact! Disney made MILLIONS off of dress and costume sales after Frozen alone!

@@thefantasticretroreviewer3941 really offensive like I recently watched on Disney + and I really hated it the only thing I like where the three princess getting with the army guys I thought that was pretty cute and I guess the animation was fine but for some reason that makes it even worst.

@Surya Singh While the Japanese writing system does borrow Chinese characters, they have their own 'alphabet'-type system (2, technically). Generally, if most of the characters are written with just 1 or 2 lines (like counting pen strokes), then it's probably Japanese. Also, Japan uses English words much more often than China, mainly due to it being a mandatory second language, so that's another hint.
@AK-Drakoin5 жыл бұрын
@Surya Singh you would think that they made sure to actually get it right since it is someone's culture and they are two separate cultures. Might just be a little bit disrespectful including because he took the time to edit it in.

@JoeRingo118 One could Google it, especially since it's cheap anyway. Or an element of self-awareness would have made the joke funnier instead of seeming like minimal effort.
@larsatticus68075 жыл бұрын
@JoeRingo118 It seems based on this thread that to those who notice it detracted from the joke, this defeating the purpose. I'm not trying to talk about racism, I'm just saying that an extra two seconds would have made it less distracting for those who notice. Sure it's not the end of the world, but the point is there.

@@98953812 Yeah, just have them start with a company or 3, engage with a raiding party where they break off from the group with the cast we have in the transport leaving some no name to lead the forces in defense while they retreat (thus giving the princesses a view of these being their personal heros and giving that some weight), and play it out with a lot more of our leads actually having a fight about it more than about breath.
