God bless you!! Please pray for my 20 year old daughter, she's in psychiatric unit in hospital. She went there this morning. She's very depressed, she cries every day. She feels like committing suicide a lot. She's away from God, and she has no hope. Thanks so much!! We pray for you too. God bless you!!! Joanne

Dear Joanne, what is your daughter's name? I'll pray, we'll all pray and no doubt you are pouring your heart in prayer before Christ, so all will be well. Mental illness of any kind is a painful cross to bear, but it is not a death condemnation. I know from my own experience that one can have a beautiful life, filled with love, despite the occasional clouds of the illness.

Thank you, from a Catholic brother. Although our respective Churches disagree on certain issues, I'll leave the politics to the politicians and the theological debates to the debaters. At the end of the day both of our Churches are holy, apostolic, and sharing the Gospel of our Lord Jesus-Christ. Glory the Father, Glory to the Son, Glory to the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Yes...as a Catholic, I see Fr. Seraphim as speaking with and for the Undivided Church. The Celtic Saints are venerated by the Eastern Churches and the Western Church. I have never heard him say anything which would not be in complete harmony with, for example, St. Benedict. Pax!

Amen. A hard word, but a true one. The Church is what salvation is. Asking if you can be saved without the Church is like asking if you can be saved without being saved.
@mullmonastery9 ай бұрын
All I know is that salvation is given through the church, dear one. What happens outside the Church is entirely in God's hands and not ours to judge, but no human being who understands what the real stakes are would ever take the risk. My prayer is that we are all saved, but I hear the words of Christ in the Gospel and through His Church about those who are lost. May we all be blessed.
@halabouabs61669 ай бұрын
You’re right father everyone is responsible now for his salvation, because now there is no excuse when we can seek the truth so easily, it takes a little search, the informations nowadays are available for everyone. I wonder why people spend hours and hours on the internet for multiple purposes except for the factual truth of their beliefs. Christ is obvious the real authentic church is obvious , the only way for salvation is obvious, unfortunately few are seeking for the truth .

I thought, I rested from it awhile/retreat and then go back, and it willfix. Ill know in a few weeks.Like in the movie National Velvet, the man who played the trainer, had to go away from his home awhile, in order to be able to come back again to it. Pray for me. The scriptures refer to the devil symbolically as a serpent because a serpent is a creature who doesn’t move in a straight line - it moves back and forth, left and right, twisting its way through the world. Even today we might call someone who is two faced, who says one thing but does another, who walks a crooked path, who is difficult to pin down, who has a hidden agenda, who is self interested but claims to be on your side a “snake in the grass”. This is our adversary; clever and cunning, a master of deception, with whom up is down and down is up, who attempts to invert everything good God creates into its opposite form…men into women, women into men, love into lust, heter0sexuality into hom0sexuality, iconography into p0rnography. To take something God created as good and turn it against Him as a way of spitting in His face, one destined for damnation and willing to drag everything and everyone down with him. Like Fr Seraphim said, this is the spirit of the antichrist, the inversion of Christ, the one who stands in place of Christ, that is in the world, filling all the airwaves of our lives (internet, media, movies, social media, tv) with his deceptions, inversions, and lies.

Matthew 7:21-23 always scares me. Will the Lord not show mercy on those who were led astray by false teachers by no fault of their own, if they truly believed they were serving God?
@ResistanceB.79 ай бұрын
"No fault of their own" ??? Nope it is and will be their fault my brother !!! We pray that our Lord never let us and not even a single human being be fooled by the evil one and all of his forms and trickeries and lose our soul but also we pray for those who had been or are being fooled by him to return to the Truth our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ 🇬🇷💪☦️
@HomoEucharistica9 ай бұрын
Just a comment on Matt. 7:21-23... didn't Judas Iscariot do miracles and cast demons in Jesus' name, even preached the gospel of God's kingdom, like other Apostles? But what separated him from the Lord (and made him the betrayer of Christ) was the fact he was a thief, as told in the Gospel(s). This shows that God can, and does, interact in the world in synergy with imperfect people, but for those people it can happen for their doom if they don't repent - like in the case of Moses, who performed a miracle even though he disobeyed God, and therefore he was denied to enter Promised Land. But as an answer to your question, how likely is it that you are (supposedly) serving God and worshipping Him but never meeting "other fellow Christians" who systematically oppose your teachings and seek to correct you? The Church has always anathematized heresies since the days of Nicolaitans and Marcionists, and these people undeniably were fully aware of this judgment. And since they were aware of their situation, they needed to explore their teachings in order to check if they are truly sound doctrines and to find arguments for their beliefs... If they sincerely sought Christ, they likely repented and they were taken back to the Holy Apostolic and Catholic Church. Otherwise they actively choose to live in lies. It has been like this for 2000 years, and it also will be like that until our Master comes in His glory.

What you have said has been on my mind recently. I am wondering if the anti-christ has already arrived... It strikes me as odd, how traditional church teachings have been subverted in recent years., and erroneous doctrines are being pushed within the church. Where our Christian teachings are being weaponised against; "telling the truth means that you are being cruel to someone". The Jezebel Spirit.

I agree with this, but I live in the U.S. and the closest Orthodox Church is a good 45 minute Drive a couple of towns away in the major city. I can walk to countless Baptist, nondenominational churches, a catholic church is 4 miles out, and then there are several what I would call heretical "progressive" churches, of the mainline protestant churches, that look little different from the world, most seem to talk about current worldly issues, instead of the bible, Christ, or tradition. The most of the best Christian people I know don't go to church, not because they do not want to (there are some like that) but there are no good options around. It would be nice to know what you would recommend for someone in my position, should I go to the Catholic church because it is closer in structure and history to Orthodoxy, pick a good Baptist Church that has some good bible believing ideas, but no real tradition, history, nor structure? Or try to make a road trip every week? I do read the bible at least 3 or 4 hours a week, pray a lot and think a lot on it all. I also listen to you a lot, since I found you, and a few other knowledgeable people, mostly protestants, that have some wisdom and help me understand the bible as I read it, but there is a lot I disagree with them on, as it often feels they concern themselves more with reformist thinkers, the battle against the worldly churches, or some other ideology apart from Christ, and I think it is because it is not rooted in the historical church but more the 1400-1800's. It leaves me a little lost, as my community has no real rooted tradition, most of the churches I live around are 20 or less years old, and they look and feel quite plain both inside and outside. I certainly don't want to follow myself nor my heart, and I ask for guidance every day, to follow truth, whatever that may be, as I learn and grow, though my reading, and watching people, like yourself online.
