You won this fight, but I agree that it is hard to see everything. It takes a fraction of a second to make a decision, and the judges don't have the slow-motion resource.

Great Fight ! Jeannot wins - The old men's eyes of the referees simply can no longer capture these quick actions in this sport - we live in the 21st century and then in Japan - VAR !!!!!!!!! - the same thing over and over again in Japan - old men decide for their own people = a shame and sad -

@1'02- It looks like both fighters missed their targets. @1'33 - from this POV it looks like the kick misses the target. However, some referees have given points for that. @1'46 - It looks like White got a point in. @2'59 - From this POV, RED is in first. Also, he lost balance for a split second, but he didn't fall down. So, the point still stands. @3'39- Referre is right, Red is in first. White did score, but Red got in before. @4''09 - From this POV, one cant see if RED scored. If he did, then he is in first, however, White definitely scores. @4'43 - NO POINT. Weak/ineffective technique. @5'16 - From this POV, it looks like white misses. Great fight.

For what is possible to see, the head kick could have been a wazari or even ippon. I agree that some aiuchi you guys did were super close even if the judges instantly gave wazari to aka. But lots of points you highlight in my opinion were a little out of target or out of distance. Very close, but it is fine they were not wazari in my opinion. Overall, complete masterclass of modern kumite, absolutely impressive performance from both you guys. I love how JKA kumite is right now

it’s a shame that whenever there is aiuchi the brown nose referees just stick their flags out for the Japanese, every single time. It’s been the case at every jka tournament throughout history.

Jonathan should've won it. but they sided with the opponent. So it is what is then. Respect! Oss!

First Place: You lost. Making videos on KZbin, focusing on your "best moments", doesn't change anything. Points while striking backwards are often not scored. His shot was out of range too, his foot passed the Japanese's head. Conclusion: The Japanese fighter, even though he is smaller, has a better karate stance, fought better, had better technique and won because he was better.

Where is your JKA world championship video Mr Keyboard expert?
@guilhermemacedoadvocaciaАй бұрын
@@plets1172 "Oh yes, of course. Eric Hoffer explained this in his book True Believer. For you, karate begins and ends with the JKA, and you believe the JKA world champion is the world champion of karate. I forgot I was talking to a fan. But my point is about respect, which is something greatly lacking on the part of foreigners toward the Japanese people. This video is proof that competition is valued more than respect. Well, as for me, it would be a pleasure to do a Kumite training with anyone, but please, no KZbin video."

I understand your frustration. I feel the same many matches I compete in. I was at iskf world shoto cup in London England. Sometimes, winning the “fight” is not the same as winning the ippon match. I can see for terms of points where Aka scores first. But real life shuro actually had the better attack or counter. Ippon kumite is the rule set we compete in. And sometimes the judges make right or wrong decisions. And sometimes they care to much of the technical point compared to the real life consequences of said points being scored. I competed against an Australian at the shoto cup. Felt I won the fight but he won the “points” to make ippon. You did an amazing job and have amazing karate. Osu! From Alberta canada!. Keep up the amazing training and work! Nothing to hang your head about

Its tough going against a multiple and current japan champion. The decision was ok. Could have gone either way . Both gyakutsuki looked to be a split second faster by the opponent. Excited to see more from Jonathan.

kind of like dekker fighting in thailand, hits the guy clean with a kick in the head no point, clearly scores his punch first several times and the judges give the point to the other guy, favoritism plain and clear, near the end the black guy should have knocked out the japanese fighter and taken the disqualification
